I really wish we could hang with them - even with Jenkins missing. However, it's hard to complain keeping a game within 16 points when you play a team this deep. Things were close until the opening two minutes of the fourth quarter - however UConn definitely didn't play their best game. If we play like this against any other team in the nation, we will be pretty good - however we can't afford to have let downs (the difference between UConn and everyone else presently). We actually played UConn tighter than Notre Dame. That's not lost on me. Unfortunately UConn did what UConn does - it only took two minutes, but it was the dagger. I appreciate the great effort today by our ladies. They have nothing to be ashamed about (and I don't champion moral defeats).

We probably get UCONN at least 2 more times. (1 regular season, probably in AAC Championship game),maybe in NCAA if we can keep up the way we played.

I really like Laksa. We are getting there and Jose does a great job. There is just such an overall talent differential between us and the top 10 teams. All we can do is just keep building.

It's a steady progression. By the time laksa is a senior we'll be right there with them at the top of the country.

Impressive, but I would say about half of them were Uconn fans.

Would like to see both men & women average around 8k to 10k each  season!!

USF next plays @Tulane on 1/13.

They are undefeated at home and might be our toughest game, aside from UCONN, in the conference.

Hopefully, Jenkins will be able to play against them.

Yikes, yes that is the official attendance, but dang, I could swear the place was at about 90-95% capacity.  I would have bet a twenty we had 9.2-9.5k in the seats.  I'm losing my touch.  Anyways, it was great to see!

We have 2 players that would be in the regular rotation for UCONN.  Jenkins makes it maybe 3. LF   would be a practice body. We have a ways to go to get up to the UCONN talent level.
