I hope there's a true competition for the job this off season.

You mean right when there will be a long "discussion" on where one should live? HA!

I personally prefer living on the golf course...

You wouldn't like that with me around I'll tell you that. You might be scared to come outside the way I slice some tee shots.

Yeah, why should CWT be the head coach when a better one might be on the bench?

If I recall Doug Woolard lived right down the road from him

I thought Bench was going pro?

Besides, AW will be the staring QB following spring practice, which frees-up Quinton to be head coach.  CQF has a nice ring to it and he can probably just move into Willie's old house - that will cut-down on any transition issues.

I'm still a certified appraiser in AZ (even though I'm not practicing). He definitely paid for the square footage as the interior upgrades are mid-tract level quality at best and the layout doesn't scream custom quality (except the cabinetry). I guess when you get your first fat contract, you want to run with the Jones' (I bought a Boxster and Z4 within months of each other when I was making nice coin back in the day prior to getting married - I get it). On a different note, I found the cabinets well appointed and the exterior BBQ has a lot of appeal. He could get more bang for his buck in a house half the size with more elegant upgrades in my opinion (and a location closer to the water). If I'm dropping $1M+ in Florida on a house, the house would have a higher end travertine tile or reclaimed wood flooring installed (most likely both), a lot higher series of granite or marble counters, a variation in paint throughout, a higher end carpet, etc. Curious to see what he settles on for his new digs...

wow!

You're not taking advantage of FL living unless you live on the water IMO.

Flood insurance rates say otherwise. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. I'd prefer to live around the urban core of Tampa or St. Pete, with a slight edge to St. Pete, since it's more developed.

Man, you're not kidding. Had stars in my eyes coming back to FL and getting a place next to a large lake. Then the flood insurance quotes came...ugh. But just to stay firmly on the fence, I'd definitely say all the reasons I was excited about it have panned out. It's so much nicer to come home to that atmosphere than suburbia, IMO.

You should have come back to GA if you wanted lake property, especially Lake Lanier, near where I live.  No worry about floods in some of those areas, especially the houses where you have walkways 50 feet down to the dock/lake.
