From when I began watching, we were much more disciplined that we have been. Less sloppy passing. More off the ball movement. All in all it just wasn't horrible.

USF was impressive, especially considering your lack of players suited up. **** gutsy performance. See you in Tampa, very soon.

Zone will not work against UCF when the shots are falling, but USF had no other choice. Not enough bodies to go man to man IMO.

12-36 through 48 games under COA. The .250 winning percentage is venturing into McCullum territory.

.250 was CWT's winning percentage through his first full two years, under similar circumstances ...

Wasn't able to watch the game but the stats are very telling.  UCF getting 25 free throws to our 10???  Seems way lopsided, we must have been hacking everyone.

New coaches, empty cupboard for the most part, plus throw in the hoops injuries ..... maybe oranges and tangerines.

Aside from it being basketball vs football, the analogy is pretty accurate IMO. Both coaches had similar issues to start their respective programs. I saw a team that looks like they're starting to figure it out last night. I hope COA gets a 3rd-year turnaround like CWT did!

Oh, and McMurray's future is bright, definitely liked what I saw from the freshman. More polish and he's going to be great. We have some good athletes out there, just a little raw & backyard-BB stars. If COA can get them playing more fluid as a team, we're going to be just fine.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
