Honestly, let's make it a competition, but it is Flowers job to lose. He did some good things this year. Now, if he can get his accuracy in order, the offense will be lethal.

Let the best QB play, whoever that may be.

Couple of people at the game mentioned that he threw the best pass for USF all day - to that point of the game.

It really was a great throw.

Where's the Robles crowd?!  We need to get some insanity in this debate.

I thought QF had a great season for us - however I got beat down on a different thread for making this same comment earlier. It's not that I don't appreciate what QF has done for us (and I know Coach Taggart definitely does), but the flaws in his game can't be cleaned up in an off season unless he has a David Robinson growth spurt. The game with WKU reminded me of the game with McCheeseburger State. You get a very good QB that has years of experience, they're going to find a way to win a ball game if the rest of the talent across the board is fairly comparable. Our defense struggled against a QB that reminded me a lot of Marquel Blackwell. They are both good enough to get a sniff of the NFL - but will someone take a chance on them? If the kid doesn't get drafted, I believe he'll be playing ball in Canada. He threw a very good ball yesterday (even on the passes where he was off). We're unfortunately not there with QF and I don't think we'll ever be there.

For those saying the Spring game limits QF's natural running ability - AW is not the Statue of Liberty. The kid has some wheels as well (remember he was the #1 dual threat QB coming out of high school). So yes, AW will be limited in showing his talents off as well.

Flowers made about 3 passes or more that were wow level.  I see him starting unless he regresses.  Hes stone cold competitor.  Our defense sucked yesterday.

My only concern is what is commonly called "in the locker room." But, "in the locker room" also translates to in the huddle, and in the trenches, and throughout the game. I think the offense is 100% behind QF, and I have no idea about AW when it comes to the mentality of players if a change is made.

Flowers set USF records this year as a QB, but yeah. Let's make him a running back. Genius.

It will be a "competition", but unless AW is a first round nfl QB and we just don't know it, Flowers will be the man next year.

So, if AW is anything less than a first round pick then he's not going to start.  Got it.

By this logic you believe QF IS a first round pick.

Makes much more sense that saying that "IF" AW beats him out QF "COULD" make a good running back.
