they reviewed the call and let it stand

Exactly. Let it stand, not confirm it .... as was said, need cameras on the goal line ...... for ALL games.

Can't reverse that call my brother. NCAA needs to require a camera for all pylons...that is something really needed.

Yep that is not indisputable evidence to overturn. If the ref had called it a touchback they couldn't have overturned it either. It's a close call.

Yeah I am curious who's responsibility is that? Why is there one at some games and not others? Is it up to ESPN?

Also seemed like our O-Line couldn't hold back a crowd rushing the stage at a Melissa Ethridge concert.

The D line couldn't get to the WKU QB most of the game. I think WKU won in the trenches therefore you have to tip the hat. I can't explain the WRs running wide open but they luckily dropped a few of those.

Maybe Tom Allen isnt really as great as everyone thinks.

Just sayin.

We have a history of praising our d-coordinators before they actually accomplish anything.

I don't think many of the defensive woes was based on the scheme .... it was the execution. Our players on D didn't play as well as they have and you to give props to the WKU staff and players, too.

I find the lack of faith in Tom Allen disturbing.  It was one game.

I am sure Temple, Memphis, Cuse think otherwise.

10 down lineman against 3 and 4 WR sets? Right. The scheme wasn't the problem it was guys not staying at home and biting on fakes, and the tackling was terrible especially in the second half. This group has had a tendency to get away from the fundamentals and jump off their keys in the second half of games.

I know you know I'm being sarcastic, but if that were literally the case, I don't think the outcome would have been much different; we just would have gotten the ball back quicker. I've never seen so many WRs open on so many plays, let alone behind everybody in the secondary. This defense is at it's best when they bring pressure from the secondary, but for some reason, they were playing a soft zone with none of our 5 DBs anywhere near the LOS for much of the game. Maybe they were counting on pressure upfront and never got it, but when that is the case, adjustments need to be made.
