This program is a disaster. Heath left it in much better shape than Holtz left the football program. With the amount of turnovers, lack of effort and poor body language I have to question what level of coaching COA is providing.

I think this is a grossly overlooked point.  I am all about giving COA his three years, but our basketball cupboard was not empty.

When Heath left two years ago we kept AC, Corey Allen Jr, Perry, Dre and Z. Perry was injured most of the season and we lost CA for the last I think 3 games? You can't blame COA for losing Egbunu and OMG even though I would have loved to see this team with them. And who knows the specifics behinds AC.

I can see the questions of coaching and teaching. They are quite valid, I'm watching the games too. But consistency is important. It seems turnover is more accepted in college sports but it seems foreign to me. The kids are cold on the floor and we haven't done much but throw salt.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
