This is WKU's SUNBOWL.  lol

Honestly...im going with about 6 friends(in my group). I know a few others from down there that will be going also.  The Broward County alumnni chapter is putting together a NICE tailgate for the group.  Maybe whoever goes can crash it.  :P

I usually watch the games with the Broward County Alumni group when I'm home during the season.  Great group of people.  We always scream and scare away canes fans.  :P

GO BULLS!!

Some WKU fans are putting down some serious cash to go to this game. The Hilltopper Athletic Foundation had a travel package which included a private chartered 737 leaving from Bowling Green, shuttle bus, and one night stay in Eden Roc for ONE THOUSAND BUCKS A PERSON. It sold out in less than a day and they're working on another. But that being said, I'd be very surprised if we sell out our allotment. Students get in free, however, so there should be a few of them.

The venue might be more appealing for you guys but for us it is meh.  Also, a lot of people never expected to go bowling this year and didn't plan for it so I think that will hurt our numbers.

I will be going down for the day with my buddy and hope we both have decent crowds.

I saw an advertisement saying WKU students get in for free, and I thought that was a real nice touch. With the distance involved for those students, anything helps -- smart move for WKU athletics.

I'd like to think we have a good showing of Green and Gold at the bowl game.  Those of us who live near USF can make it a one day trip.

The one real minus in this game is the day and time.  A 2;30 Monday afternoon game isn't good for attendance.  However, I will be there along with the hubby.

It is good for a day trip though

I'm bringing 6 with me. Making it a day trip from Tampa. Can't miss the first bowl game in 5 years. It'll look bad if Hilltoppers out number us.

I don't know how attendance is a factor, save for those actually in the venue (game day experience). Remember, the impetus for this game is filling a three-hour broadcast window for ESPN, and as such - they probably have a pretty good feel for how many eyes-on-the-screen they're going to get for a Monday afternoon.  As for WKU, a trip to the peninsula in December is probably not a bad little vacay (e.g. a long weekend and catch the game on the way to the airport).

Wife and I are on the bus, a couple other friends driving down. The bus for us is just easier.
