This is a good challenge and good stepping stone for us this year. 

I don't care how great we played the last few games, let's just remember when we were at 1-4 we were hoping we would be good enough and thankful to get to any bowl. 

This WKU team is a good team.  The seniors were recruited and played for Taggart.  The jrs and srs got to play for Petrino.  Their current coach is a longtime disciple of Petrino and one of the best young offensive minded coaches in the country. 

This should be a fun game. The only thing that could have made this match up a little better if Mike White was their QB.  

This is a good bowl matchup for our return to a bowl.

I was looking at a WKU board and saw comments about how they were stuck with playing USF, and that they deserved better.  

We shouldn't be afraid of anybody.  I wish we could play Clemson, or anybody in the top 10.  How good are we now?  Who knows, you have to play the game to find out.  We will find some answers with our bowl game.

I understand the people that are upset with the timing of the Bowl Game. I am not sure I am going to be able to make it 2:30pm on a Monday before Christmas is hard.

 

That being said the disrespect for our opponent in the game is ridiculous. People are pissed because we didn't get a major conference 6 win team. Many people expect a blow out.  Some of our fans must think we are the new Alabama or something.

WKU is a good football team, and I expect a close game. They are a 10 win team with losses to LSU (by 28) and Indiana (by 2) I know Indiana is 6-6 but that is a **** good team, with 1 possession losses to Ohio State, Iowa, and Michigian.

The Seniors on the WKU team were all recruited by Taggs and they will be ready to play. A win for USF here is a Quality win, and to be honest possibly the most win of our season.

Bobby Petrino took over WKU after Taggart booked for USF. They're going to be solid athletically, as both Taggart and Petrino are good recruiters. I think this will be a tough match-up, and I'm really looking forward to our first bowl game since 2010.
