Didn't someone mention in a previous post that loosing Coach Telly was going to hurt us in the Miami/Dade area?

I think we seem to be doing alright without his recruting down there at his previous school.

Ron Duggans seems to have recruited young Salomon. I hope his commitment sticks.

Yup. That was me. Not to say that having him on staff wouldn't help though.

Exactly, we're doing a great job in recruiting, but we would be doing even better with Telly. It's usually never black and white in life.

His recruiting video looks like a grown man beating up middle schoolers.

Wow, impressive.

The 6-3, 205-pound Salomon is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 2 wide receiver in the Class of 2016, the No. 3 player in Florida and the No. 16 player overall, but he played the last two seasons at a small private school, Champagnat in Hialeah. He had played as a freshman at Hollywood Hills.

If we keep Willie, I expect a top 25 recruiting class in 2017.

That's some EXPECTATION, for any team in the AAC conference.

I'd settle right now for a top 35 recruiting class in '17. LOL

We're at #60 with this recruit, according to Rivals.

That's weird, I checked Rivals and they have him listed as 28th at his position, 19th in the state, and 139th nationally unless I'm missing something.htt Still a phenomenal pickup but weird discrepancy in information.

Could be the USF effect, which drags rankings down when they commit to USF because we're not UF, FSU, Alabama or USC, which is why Rivals.com rankings are stupid.

He was a 5 star before the season on a few website I believe. Either way I'm pretty stoked about this commitment.

Here's what one of the Rivals guy said about him when he was a 5 star

"Salomon is a rare blend of size and speed and his acceleration is devastating. He's capable of making even the most elite defensive backs in the class appear overwhelmed."
