Yes I would say best combo and they will get better which is scary for other teams.

The Grothe, Ford, Carlton Mitchell trio was pretty good also I will say.

I would probably sub out Taurus Johnson for Mitchell, but I loved that combo.  It always bummed me out to read the anti-Ford stuff on here, because he was exciting to watch.

yea, i always expected so much from Price.  I am happy he ends is career on such a high note and hopefully can add a few more TDs before all is done.

again-- if someone could go through and put together a year by year list of the top three we had, this would be much easier to argue. Some people here weren't around for the early teams and we had some good guys playing then - though it would mostly be around Blackwell, Grothe, Daniels and possibly Barnardt as most other QBs have been mediocre/inconsistent.

 

But it is pretty easy to say they are a top three trio at minimum.

the records part can be a little skewed in various eras as well - they are important sure but hard to equate based on some of the schedules played/strength of opponents. Few will give much love to a trio from the 1-AA days obviously but we had some good players then too.

 

I get the impression that the best season for this group may be in the future

believe he is still a soph. He transfered from Toledo

He played in games his true freshman year at Toledo... was granted a waiver to transfer after his mother passed... Played his soph season at USF last season.... started his junior year this season... Will be a senior last season.

If you're going by productivity and scores, this is the best offensive trio we've ever had at 1 time.  This is the most legit NFL prospects we have had on the team as a whole at 1 times.  Offense and defense combined.  This team is one of the most loaded teams in USF history as a whole.  It is a complete team.  These three guys are the spear head but Johnson, Tice, Price.. I mean I was listening to the guy and Johnson has  300 rushing, 300 receiving, 5 TDs, and a ton of return yards. He's over a 1000 total yards. and  Tice... well he's up over 400 and another 4 TDs...   we are in uncharted territory for USF.  We actually have a competent system that works and compliments a tough defense.  Things turned quick for us....

I really believe if this team brings A game we could beat anybody we have a very balanced team that is light years better vs when we played FSU.
