If he makes it back, he'd be a RS Junior, right?

 

 

You are correct since he played as a true freshman and never used his redshirt.

I believe he would be a true Junior, not a RS since he, from my understanding, withdrew from the school:

"Among the subtractions: rising junior DT Derrick Calloway, who has withdrawn for academic reasons. The door is open for Calloway to ultimately return after 2015, the school indicated Tuesday."

It appears our top DL from last year, Derrick Calloway, has gotten his academics in order, per sources close to the situation.

I'm pretty sure one you start playing your eligibility clock starts ticking enrolled or not.

yep. He will be a redshirt junior, just like Senat will be. Those guys came in together.

Gotta think that the combination of having Harris, Whitehurst (Suspension), Sanchez (Targeting), and Calloway (academics) all missing from the defense early in the year had something to do with the early season struggles. Because if you notice, when everybody got used to each other again, and played together, they started turning it on. And hopefully that made all the Sanchez haters quite down a little bit. Hes not the best in coverage, and isn't super athletic, but his instincts are some of the best on the team, and he is one of the better tacklers we have. I really hope everyone gets better next year, while Calloway comes back and fills the big shoes left by Eric Lee

Yes, and he played at nose tackle when we were running Breezy's vaunted 3-4 defense.
