If he gets to AAC champ game, I see Harlan giving him an extension and bumping up his pay.

I feel bad for the AAC if we win our conference this year! WE will dominate the next 3-4 years...

I don't think there is a chance that CWT leaves this year but if he wins back to back AAC titles then..

Allen is more of a possibility this year..

No extension this year. Show some consistency. How soon we forgot about Skip's extension. Coach Taggart essentially has the entire squad returning next season - it would be difficult not to replicate the success he's presently having...

Skip was coming off a bad year in which we tanked at end when he was given an extension.  Big difference.  If Tagg gets to AAC champ game, he's getting an extension.  Guaranteed.  Now if he doesn't get there but just wins 7 or 8, then no, he might not.

If he leaves he leaves. And I say that as someone who has supported him (although the Memphis game caused me to rethink it) and wants him to stay.

He's made the program better than he found it and with more talent on it. I think next year could be special with what is coming back and the players who will be available via transfer or redshirting. However, if someone throws a boat load of money at him then so be it, the AD will have to hire the next guy. Unfortunately it's where we are in the pecking order.

He didn't say his players didn't like him.  I think he means that CWT just relates better.  Being a former college football player and being from the area, it's hard to argue with that.

I highly doubt Urban Meyer's "relatability" is the reason for his success. We can pick on a lot of reasons for Skip's failure, but relating to kids wouldn't come up in my top 20.

It would be a poor move to give him an extension at the end of the year. What happens if Allen and Hope get poached? Are we back at square one again - yet with a head coach that has a fat contract? Let him prove himself. He was fortunate enough to get this job - let him earn his money. He should have been giving money back after the first two year and four games of his current contract.

Probably lower on the list. I'd happily trade off his presence at a flag football event he didn't organize, had no input on the date, can't participate in, and has his entire staff at for what his Skip Holtz - Drew Steele event has become and done. No contest.

Never saw Skip leading the dance moves in the locker room after a sweet W....
