Who will hire him?

He is still pretty unproven his overall record is still bad. He has 1 win over a ranked team?

He coached in weak conferences... i see lots of reason for doubt by P5 achools.

If he goes 3 good winning seasons then maybe.

Don't see Taggart going anywhere.  Even if he is 8 - 4 in his 3rd year.  Without winning the conference I don't see a whole lot of interest this year.  If he goes on and duplicated and does better next year, then maybe.

Programs are doing a lot of crazy things, but I doubt hiring Taggart would be one of them. Herman maybe, but I think Taggart is way behind the other coaches in the conference.

He will need to win a conference championship first and a Bowl win with that before they will come sniffing.

Being employed as head USF football coach is a darned good job that pays well.  Keep Coach Taggart happy here at USF and he isn't leaving to go elsewhere coaching.

"Who's got it better than us? ...Nobody." -CWT as the head coach of USF.

He's at home,  close to his family and he's having success and being paid well.  He's not going anywhere... well, except for the fact he said the same 1 liner at WKU.

But still,  he's close to friends and family.  I don't think he'll go anywhere unless he's ever fired.

If he wins out he'll have 8 wins this season.

Season 1: 2 wins. Then a 100% increase to season 2 with 4 wins. Then a 100% increase to season 3 with 8 wins. Can't have any more 100% increases, but I'll be willing to accept an undefeated season of 11 or 12 wins :)

I'm not worried. If somehow someone does pluck him away, he's left the program in better condition than when he arrived. For the sake of continuity, I wouldn't mind seeing Tom Allen get the nod.

I think we have something most of these other programs dont have and that is talent pool.  So while I dont think Taggart is going anywhere we have the tools for any coach to be successful that understands Florida players unlike Skippy.

I don't think there's any chance he leaves at the end of this season.  Because of reasons mentioned by USFBulls12 above, he has a lot of incentive to stay here.
