Rhule is like a likeable Schiano. He coaches a physical, disciplined, and aggressive brand of football that wants to punch you in the face for 4 quarters. The big difference is he's a likeable guy.

I went hunting from that link into the conversations and found the 'game thread'.

One thing that jumped out at me is the recurring theme of 'dayum, these USF kids are making us look so slow!'

And it was summed up quite nicely by this comment:

Temple is New Jersey fast. USF is Florida fast. Huge difference.

I really like Temple's coach. Hope he stays there so we can keep the AAC competitive

One of my favorite coaching moves ever is what Rhule did a couple of weeks ago when the Freshman got his first career TD and got a penalty on the celebration. Gave the kid a high 5 then sent him off to do Up-Downs for the boneheaded penalty.

What was he talking about when he said that the technique he teaches his kids is the same that they taught/coahced in the NFL but was illegal two nights ago?

Not even much coach-speak there, just said what he saw and didn't make excuses for himself or his players. Good coach there in Temple.

On a side note, I think this is probably the first time I've heard a D1 coach say we "out-physical'd" them in, like, a REALLY long time, and they're a physical team! #bringonmcneese :FIREdevil:

Hahaha, I read some comments as well and there are multiple Temple fans saying that USF took advantage of a "tired" team.  Bullcrap.  USF took your team to the woodshed, bottom line.

Man, if I was a player for Temple, I'd be pretty pissed reading that.

However, part of their success is in playing a Temple team exhausted.  This amplifies whatever skills USF may possess.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
