He also made his career long, 47 yards.

That was awesome.  Now, if we could get Hill to kick it deeper than the 15...

I was thinking that was by design last night, at least I hope it was.  Temple has some very dangerous weapons on the field, maybe they didn't want them to get a full head of steam.  Hill has been kicking deeper than that most of the season.

I haven't seen those deeper shots, at least not with any semblance of consistency. He might be trying for more hang time to help the coverage, but several times it's actually HELPED the receiver get a full head of steam before the catch.

Nadelman came through clutch. I have been critical of him, but was very impressed by his performance last night. Hill needs to get those kick offs into the end zone period. Don't care if he's going for hang time, style points, whatever. Just kick the ball deeper!

Deep kicks are better, as you can pin them in, and it's not unusual to get penalties, etc.  We should have the coverage to not fear returns.  Mixing it up might be good, but I've our receivers take plenty of turnovers.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
