what bowl does the AAC champion play if they don't qualify for the best of the G5

There really isn't an order to the bowls any more... the bowls and the conference work together for good matchups and good turnout.

Birmingham is the only bowl against a P5 conference... but we might get the Cure Bowl in Orlando because more USF fans would go there.

Anywhere but Birmingham....we have been there twice already.  I'd take Orlando or Boca right now.

Yeah, I'd prefer the 'Ham for reasons LOB stated above, but I'm really fine with a bowl just about anywhere.

Amen, bro, amen. This feels pretty good.

If Navy earns the auto bid to Peach bowl (a very realistic scenario), then we could also go to Military Bowl vs. ACC.

Here's USF's bowl opportunities as I see it:

If USF does not win AAC championship we're going to St Pete to face a La Tech or Southern Miss type team OR to Miami Beach bowl against a similar type opponent.  Possibly even the loser of the Marshall/WKU game (both teams are really good).

Miami Beach Bowl has a clause that allows them to take a "P5" team if there is an extra one, but who knows if that will happen.

If USF wins AAC, we'd need a LOT of help to go to Peach Bowl.  Chances are less than 5-10% (Boise and a few others would have to lose).

At that point, we'd probably go to Birmingham to face an SEC team or Hawaii to face BYU.  Could also go to Boca to face a 10 or 11 win Toledo or Bowling Green, but I'd think we'd have our pick of bowls so I'd say B'ham is most likely.
