FRIDAY

#19 USF women's basketball first game of the year

Softball at 6pm
#14 USF men's soccer American conference semifinals vs UCONN 7pm
Men's basketball first game of the year 8:30 pm

SATURDAY
#22 USF women's soccer team's first round NCAA tournament vs FGCU 1pm
USF football vs #21 Temple with the first realistic shot at a conference championship in years 7pm

SUNDAY

I'm confident I'll have no voice and will be exhausted by the end of this weekend. This is by far the most exciting weekend I'll have/had as a student since I'm a senior and I couldn't be more excited.

Im one of the biggest harlan supporters in the world but I don't think you can say that.

None of the coaches on that list were hired by harlan and all had shown success before he arrived. Im speaking of the ranked teams of course.

Like I said, Im a massive harlan supporter but I don't know how you could credit this weekend slate to him.

Yes and no. He has definitely changed the culture of the department and of each of our sports programs, so even if the coaches were there anyway, I believe he is doing a better job of enabling success.

Second, I think him keeping Fernandez was huge. Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember some drama with Woolard and Fernandez's contract - something like either no extension or a weak one or something.

Also, COA was a Harlan hire I believe.

Couldn't agree with you more about the culture change. That and his hires show he is a great man for the job in my humble opinion.

I do remember something with coach Fernandez contract. I think Woolard almost let his contract run out but eventually extended and Harlan recently gave him a raise. Not 100% about the first part.

Lastly, COA is a Harlan hire but thats why I specified ranked teams.

to be honest, I was just funning around. Woolard played a big part in getting the great facilties built on campus. That has helped with hosting events. Woolard was not all bad for USF. Just needed Harlan to come in and get them winning more

Reason WBB is winning more is some Jose and a lot of Jenkins and Williams.

We need a Jenkins/Williams combo for football.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
