How I feel about going to the Temple game

Recommended Posts

Temple is a bad matchup for us in that they are a pro style offense with a legit defense.  Our offense may have to bust out the inverted wishbone or empty out the playbook to get some TDs.  I don't think we can afford to be straightforward on offense and expect results.  Or Maybe they don't spy on Flowers and he goes nuts again for 200 yards.  Matt Rhule may be smarter than our coaches too.

Their offense picks up in the second half. Our d will need to step up and not step back as the games goes on. I think we will be ok, and that they may not be as good as people think. They are doing what average teams should do, beat subpar competition. I think this will be a good measuring stick for our boys.

If the defense shows up this is a very winnable game. Temple's offense isn't all that and if you can stop Jahad Thomas the struggle. We've faired pretty well against the run outside of Navy's Triple option this season so we have an opportunity to be within striking distance. If the offense can take care of the football and find a way to put points on  board against a stingy temple we should be right in this game until the end.
