I think Jalen Spencer is the backup. And he's going to be here next year.

However, for next year Wisconsin transfer Austin Hudson will be eligible and I wonder if he'll get a look at that slot. He's a little bit bigger than Byrd or spencer are. Also, he was good enough to play at Wisconsin as a true freshman so he has ability.

Khalid McGee will probably get some looks there too. His high school film looked just like Byrd's so the two have similar skill sets. There should be a great battle at the Husky position this off season.

Think that bullet sheds some light on the quality of the recruits that CWT has brought in.  Gives some hope for a bright future
