If this team is really improved we will win this game, lose this and it has been fools gold.

We match up well with ECU and this is a very winnable game. With both teams fighting for their bowl lives this will be a hard fought game and we will need to execute for 4 quarters to get the W.

Fair assessment.

If we were playing with real money, I'd put it on ECU.

Playing with real money I would not touch this game

We'll win.  It's a lock.  ECU has a losing record, and we beat teams with losing records.

Go Bulls!!

There! See, now there's something you can hang your hat on...our stellar record against less than stellar competition.

How-ev-ah...we lost to the Terps when they were .500; since then they have gone on to lose more games than they win, and as such, we have the capability to lose to teams with a losing record. So, rather than jump on the bandwagon and get all Semper Fidelis, I say we adopt the Semper Gumby approach. Always flexible.

I will back up my statement though. I also mentioned preseason that if we do not get 6 wins and a bowl game, that I would come with a pitchfork for Taggart's head. But if we play competitively each game, and blow out UCF to finish things off, I will actually admit SLIGHT improvement, and give Taggart ONE MORE FRIGGIN YEAR (that hurt to say). The reason I say this is because the AAC greatly improved this year, and so that is the reason it will only show up as a one win improvement. Now, with ONE power 5 team on the schedule for next year, there should be no reason we don't win 7

We have 2 Power 5 teams on the schedule next year but I pretty much agree with what you're saying.

Yeah me neither.  I think we are a better team than them, but weird things happen on the road @ ECU.  For some weird reason, I think this one is a toss up but then somehow find a way to beat a ranked Temple team at home, but really hoping we pull one this out to take a little bit of the pressure off.

I watched some of the ECU-UConn game, and ECU looked horrible.  If we lose to ECU, we don't deserve a bowl game, and won't likely get one.  Hard to imagine losing to ECU, then beating Temple or Cincy.

UCF should be a win, but it'll be their Super Bowl and off season bragging rights game.  And, a new coach is likely bringing some passion & energy back to a listless & lackluster Knights squad.  I would LOVE to see UCF go 0-12, with us grape stomping them on the way to a bowl game (while UCF fans yell, "Yeah, well it ain't the Fiesta Bowl!").

I can't ever say with certitude "we'll win", because it's football and crazy things happen. But more than the last 4-5 seasons, I feel like I can say we absolutely should win this game. Fight, Bulls!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
