I love these guys that blame CWT once again but not a kid who can't kick a fg to save his life.

So, go for it on fourth down after he missed the first one?

Isn't that like telling QF not to throw it after he throws an INT?!??!?!

How does the kid gain any confidence at all without attempting the kick?

Not like we have a Kloss on our hands. This is what we got but you can't make him feel useless especially when we might need him late in a game.

I get your point, but when the game is on the line you have to make the decision that gives your team the best chance to win.  Nadelman actually missed THREE FGs, including the shorter one before the penalty.  He's right at .500 or so on the year with none past 41 yds (if memory serves).  That translates to "get a new kicker and in the meantime always go for it on 4th down and less than 5 inside their 40" to me.  Just my ignorant opinion!

Conservative?!

I feel like we go for it all the time. Taggs is not afraid of going for it on fourth down.

I think this "decision" is a double edge sword.

We don't get the first, CWT is screamed at and called all kinds of names for leaving points on the field.

All is history really at this point.

+1  If this board tells you anything, it tells you that. Sadly, the screaming would likely come from the same people. But NC's input is dead on IMO. I'd want to give my kicker a chance to succeed, but if the dude has had multiple opportunities and caves every time from distance, he doesn't get to try a 40+ kick on my team. :nope:

Oh I agree 100. If he can't produce he doesn't kick. Game over for him. We need to have a reliable kicker because we don't often win like we did against Cuse and I hope we don't have to try to kick for a tie late in the game.

At this point, over the 50 and short on third, I say let's go for it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
