Come to think of it, today's loss did feel a lot like a loss from the CJL days.

Today I saw a team that really came out and competed.  It was a tough loss in a game we could have won but got outcoached in...but I'm proud to be a USF alum today.  I haven't seen an effort and sense

Yes but not like that. I was expecting to get our asses kicked not lose near the end of the game. That loss hurt! No other way to say it!

We can tell as fans that we think the team has turned the corner when losses feel like disappointments rather than expectations.

For the past couple of years, we expected to lose games like this... now many of us actually thought there was a chance to win yesterday.

Yes this loss hurt but we  would have had to of played a perfect game. This team is just not up to that level yet. However, we can win next week and subsequent weeks.

I think we bounce back and get a good win on the road next week against ECU. I think we do it convincingly too. For the past few years we've had teams that would just let the losses start piling up once we lost the first. I know we lost three in a row early but two of those were against two really good football teams and I feel like the team is playing with a different mentality now. Like I said, I think this team bounces back and gets a big win on the road against a very beatable ECU team to build the confidence back up for a tough game at home against Temple.

It did kinda feel like a CJL era loss. Aside from the ref's inputs, we have a few correctable mistakes. I'd be satisfied with just correcting the dropped passes for the next game--a must-do. Anything more would be gravy to me.

No shame in losing to Navy. We did nothing to disgrace ourselves, and I'm still confident we'll see a bowl game. We should beat ECU, and UCF seems to be an automatic win this year. We'll be fine.
