Redzone efficiency

One of the things I am see that I have not heard anyone talk about is our red zone efficiency this year.

I don't know where to look up the stats but we must be really good. Last night I don't believe we were inside the 20 anddid not come away with points. Usually a touchdown.

Anyone know where we rank for that?

Good point. #33 ranked scoring on 88% of our redzone possessions.

If you look at % of RZ that convert to TD ... USF is 20th overall at 68%... 17 TDs in 25 RZ chances.

Those are impressive stats and I think they make since for this type of offense. For a run first spread and the way we use our offensive talent I would guess it's hard to keep them out of the endzone than prevent sustain drives. And with a mobile QB it becomes even more difficult to stop pts once the play breaks down.

We do fair a little better overall in total first downs (96 out of 128) 

I would guess this has a lot to do with our D helping us win the field position battle.

Isn't 3rd down efficiency the made %? According to that chart, we have 10 teams worse than us .... still nothing to write home about.

I think another reason we don't have alot of first downs is because we have it seems the last three games a good amount of long plays.
