Football Zebold: Mack, Nichols Making a Major Impact for Bulls

Personnel-wise, I think that's the big long-term question.  For his sake, it would be great if it made sense, draft pick-wise, for him to declare after his junior year.  Hopefully when that time comes, we still have DJ and another playmaker or two on the roster.  

I had no idea they were going to make Mack a safety when he first came in.  I thought he was recruited as an RB.  I don't follow the recruiting boards a whole lot but that was interesting to read.  

Pretty sure UCLA had him as a RB when he was committed there and both UL and us were at RB. 

Now when we landed both Mack and Johnson (both of whom were heavily recruited) the staff may have toyed with the idea of moving Mack. Obviously they made the right decision.

Should Mack blow up into the pros then the safety thing will add to the "legend."
