Guest
Lose to Memphis and we have no shot at Bowling. Right because 3 losses makes you bowl ineligible. People need to get a grip. The D was terrible, receivers still dropping balls, etc. with that - plays were there to be made and we didn't make them. Stop all the over reacting and let's talk when the season is over. I still say 6-8 wins is well within reach. 8 wins LOL LOL LOL So we are going to go 7-2 down the stretch? 0% shot we get 8 wins. Is 6 possible? Maybe if we meat Memphis. If this ****** team starts out 1-3 we are not bowling. So we seem to have a Jeckyll and Hyde team. The one that played yesterday will go 1-11. I get that most people think that is the REAL team... and it may very well be. But the one that played FSU could win 5 to 7 more games. The one with discipline on defense... the one without a lot of dropped passes and dumb penalties... the one with an OL that didn't allow Flowers to be sacked. Part of me really wants to believe THAT is what our team is like, and this Maryland game was just a fluke. If we assume the team is not as bad as we saw yesterday - and I get that is a big assumption - then here is how I see the season. Syracuse, SMU, U Conn, and UCF are not that much better than the USF team that fought FSU. None of them have a "Delvin Cook" type that could dominate. USF could still get those wins -- that gives Taggart five of the six wins he may need to keep is job. Where is that last win? If we look at Memphis and Navy -- they have great offenses, but questionable defenses. I know we thought Maryland's defense was questionable (but truthfully other than the 2nd half of Bowling Green, the Terps were pretty good this year on defense). I don't think USF can beat the Tigers or Midshipmen, because I think our offense will still trip over itself and won't be able to keep up. Temple might have the best defense in the conference, and they almost lost to UMass yesterday. Cincinnati has a strong offense, and they almost lost to Miami of Ohio (although to be fair, that is a "rivalry" game for the RedHawks - who were playing close even before Kiel was knocked out). These games are both at home ... so I put the chances a little higher than Memphis and Navy, but I still think USF loses these two. That leaves the ECU game... and I would say that it will be stretch. The Pirates are not on the level of Memphis, Navy, Temple, or Cincy... but I don't see how USF can go on the road and win the game. So my updated prediction, based on watching the games (not just the outcomes) puts USF at 5-7 now. NOTE: If the Maryland game is REALLY what our team is like ... then I take back everything above, and USF will go 1-11.

I do think the team looked just blah yesterday and they are a tad better than what they showed...team looked like they had a hangover. I thought at start of year we could win 6 games plus...but right now 4 at most. Edited September 20, 2015 by Bulls On Parade

Only way you can lose is if your team bus breaks down.
