I saw they released their rankings, but didn't check our standing with them, at the same time I recently started a thread here on the Times World University Rankings 2014-2015 . They only list the top 400 universities. Here are those again for comparison: World University Rankings 2014-15 The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014-2015 list the best global universities and are the only international university performance tables to judge world class universities across all of their core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. The top universities rankings employ 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, which are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments. USF T251-275 Other conference schools ranked: UCincy 276-300 UConn 301-350 UHouston 301-350 Tulane 301-350 Other Florida schools ranked: UF #126 UMiami #169 FIT #200 FSU and UCF not ranked

Seems like a myopic view of employment prospects. The statistical biases are pretty obvious in some of the other categories as well.

I'd even say UCF is probably a better school than FSU. I just don't have a great impression of that school, and that's about 50% the people who attended from my high school and 50% what I've heard about some of their programs.
