We improved 6 spots and are now ranked #156. FSU went from 95 to 96.

Can we catch FSU in the next 10 years? We were 183 in the 2011 rankings.

We are definitely on pace to do that. We already have a lower acceptance rate, higher average gpa, and our SAT/ACT scores are almost identical. We seem to be ascending while they are treading water.

We need to elect more USF legislators into positions in Tallahassee.

Their law school is really what is keeping them afloat. Flip that and I think we'd be ahead by now.

No question about that.

We need more state funding, especially to lower our terrible student to teacher ratio of 24-1. I just commented on that in the US News ranking thread, before seeing your post.

FSU's is 26:1 and UCF's is 31:1 so we are not terrible compared to others.

Surprising to see that about FSU. I know they used to have a much better ratio than USF. I guess state funding has also been hard on them. USF has some kind of dashboard graph comparing us to various schools in certain AAU measures and I seem to remember that. I hadn't checked recently. I know that for AAU membership our ratio is very bad and needs to improve greatly.

I just read an article stating that the national university average is 18:1.
