  1. WR HUEY WHITTAKER has been named J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the Week for Week 1 of the 2013 NET10 Wireless Arena Football League season. J. LEWIS SMALL PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK Whittaker (6-5, 225, South Florida) caught eight passes for 89 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver in San Jose’s 47-42 victory over the San Antonio Talons in Week 1. He also starred on the defensive side of the ball, recording three tackles, one forced fumble and a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown. He will be awarded a timepiece crafted by J. Lewis Small for his efforts. Link
  2. Killing a little bit of pre-sleep reading/surfing and came across this update on Kawika Mitchell: Throwback Thursday: Where is Kawika Mitchell now? Posted Mar 7, 2013 Anna Stolzenburg Contributor How would you like to be coached through your workout by a former NFL player? Exactly. Sounds intimidating. What about one with thick, curly hair that falls past his shoulders? Now that’s just downright scary. But former Buffalo Bills linebacker Kawika Mitchell is anything but scary off the football field. In fact, in his post-NFL life, he’s dedicated himself
  3. Excerpt from Alan Dell story (linked below): What about Jenkins DRC's friend, Mike Jenkins, the Southeast High/USF product, is flying under the radar. The only thing we know for sure about the cornerback is that he won't be back with the Dallas Cowboys. There is mutual discontent between Jenkins and the organization, particularly owner Jerry Jones. The 27-year-old was unhappy about how he was treated coming off shoulder surgery after the 2011 season. Perhaps most importantly, Jenkins sees himself as a starter, and a lot of NFL scouts agree. His likely destination could be Buffal
  4. 6. Chucky Atkins returns to the hardwood as head coach of the Evans Trojans ORLANDO -- After an 11-year stint with the National Basketball Association Chucky Atkins returns to Evans High School in hopes of rebuilding the boys’ basketball program. Atkins graduated from Evans in 1992 then went onto spend his college hoop years at the University of South Florida in Tampa. For Atkins the decision was easy to come back and coach for his alma mater. “One of the reasons why I came back was just for the opportunity," Atkins said. "This is where everything kinda started for me here at Evans
  7. Jerome Murphy - DB - Redskins Redskins signed DB Jerome Murphy. Murphy has been with the Rams, Saints, and Lions since the start of training camp. He's played mostly corner since being drafted at the top of the third round in 2010, but he may play some safety with Brandon Meriweather (torn ACL) out for the year.
  8. It's time to start a Holtz new era with Coach Kyle Gass and the stooges, but Rome wasn't built in a day. It's time to throw down the first challenge: Play one game without turning the ball over right before he half. You are probably wondering what time period counts as being right before the half. The truth is, I don't know, but you can almost feel the turnover about to happen right before it does. It's that time right before a half when you definitely would hope to not turn it over, but inevitably do. Let's kick off the halfway point of the 2012 season without a pre-half turnover! Tha
  9. Prepare your livers and your blood pressure for my arrival. That's right, the once-in-a-lifetime event of me not being here in Tampa to drink while yelling at USF through the TV, and instead, being in Atlanta to yell north-bound toward Louisville, is upon us. Word on the street is the Atlanta bulls meet at Pub 71 on Peachtree Rd (free peaches?). Now, I know GT has a game that day at 3. Will there be a mass of yellow jackets at the bars cockblocking the USF game? Should I expect a herd of stampeding half drunk bulls at said Pub? Can we all cry into each others' arms if we lose? Can we go to
  10. Can anyone put together a list of Bulls Alum who are: 1) In the NFL (even if on a practice squad) 2) Team they are on 3) Starter or position on Depth Chart 4) Secure job or fighting for a roster spot If we can get a prelim list going, we could keep it updated with stats throughout the year for those of us interested.
  11. From a USF email: USF Basketball Weekend Set for Nov. 9-10 All former USF basketball players, coaches, managers, trainers and administration are invited to "Celebrate the Legacy" they helped build.
  12. Jerome Murphy - DB - Rams Rams waived CB Jerome Murphy A third-round pick in 2010, Murphy appeared in 14 games as a rookie, but spent 2011 on injured reserve with a broken ankle. His draft pedigree should earn him some looks on the waiver wire.
  13. Hey Elvis, you may find more luck on our other board that is for ticket exchanges: http://thebullspen.c...exchange-board/ If you do not sell them and want to part out later, let us know over on the ticket exchange board.
  14. All the fantasy info out there, saw this: LATEST NEWS Browns WR Carlton Mitchell has "barely practiced" because of an undisclosed leg injury. The injury held Mitchell out of Cleveland's second preseason game after he caught just one pass for 33 yards in the opener. Already on the roster bubble, Mitchell's injury has likely sealed his Browns fate. Aug 21 - 9:31 AM Source: ESPN Cleveland
