Jim Louk said they played loud music to make it more difficult for the QBs.

I understand the logic behind it, but to me the spring game is sort of for the fans. They can blast the music during practice everyday and all the other scrimmages. If they wanted music they should have let the band play more

Left in the middle of the second quarter.  There was no announcer at all during the game which certainly didn't engage the fans very much.  It would have been nice to hear "X hands off to Y and gains about 5 yards".  I know CAG doesn't like announcers when we're on offense but today we got pretty loud rap music during every play which was kind of annoying.  The crowd was just not into it.  Seemed like we were watching a practice with zero play by play or commentary.  I guess I could have been listening to the stream to get that.  Anyhow, can't wait for August 31st.

The majority of people around us were talking about how loud the music was. I get he doesn’t like announcers during our regular season games, but it’s just a spring game. I think that would make the atmosphere better.

For those who are there, what are you thinking about Izzy Carter?

Overall the offense for both sides has been off. Lots of missed receivers, several false starts, drops, etc. I know it’s early and will get better, but it’s been rough so far. Not a lot of highlights so far. Izzy has good velocity on his throws, but accuracy will need to improve

It's basically over but we are trying to eke out a little fun here and there while it catches on fire.

I still love going to games, tailgating, spending time with friends/family, but no longer get too invested in a player or coach. Just too much movement with players going from school to school. The only way it changes is if enough of the big money schools want it to change. I miss the old days of players being somewhat loyal to a school. Now everything is just a business transaction

How many people do you know that have donated $50k to the NIL?  And that would be enough to keep one guy - maybe Byrum Brown. Too many players in too many sports for this to end well for USF.

As long as the NIL is run like it currently is we are screwed. There will always be schools with more money to steal away our good players. What I loved about college sports was seeing our players improve over their 3 or 4 years at USF. Now as soon as I get to know the players they are gone, especially the good ones.

Not without some reins on the NIL. It’s ridiculous that a college freshman can get more money than a professional. I said “get” not earn.

The NIL is a hot mess and will kill college athletics if stricter rules aren’t put into place. You’re right it’s crazy how much some of these kids are getting before they do anything in college.

  7. Im not against the players making some money, but there needs to be rules and a cap on how much each player can make. Right now it’s just crazy how players jump from one school to the next to the next. It’s like free agency but without the rules of free agency. IMO it takes a lot of fun out of college athletics.

Even the big name schools like Ohio State, ND, etc are losing players to other schools whose boosters will overpay for a player. We just need a billionaire booster to help us buy National Championship quality teams each year.

I'm guessing the casual basketball fan only watches the NCAA tourney and that alternative tourney is just lipstick on a pig...they still weren't good enough for the NCAA tourney.  Maybe fans of the team watch it....but I'd have no interest....only reason I'll be watching an NIT game is because USF is playing.

You'd really have to be a diehard basketball fan to watch NIT games when your team isn't playing. I'm still down that USF couldn't pull off the AAC tournament championship. Still proud of what they did...just a little down about having to go play Oveido. Hopefully we crush them!
