Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

  1. The Tampa Bay community suck as a whole. I would like to apologize to flsportfan83 for raging on the Miami sport community. We have the worst sports fans in the world. If you don't like it, then get the **** out. I for one am getting the **** out. I transferred to USF this past summer and I was extremely enthusiastic about USF and their athletics, despite no on-campus stadium. I will be transferring to the University of South Carolina for the spring semester. There are obviously other reasons for my transfer to USC such as being closer to home, the quality of education, the quantity of classes offered, among others, however the athletics at USF did factor into my decision. My excitement for USF athletics quickly died after my first home game experience. It was a good atmosphere, but I couldn't get past driving so far from campus, the sea of red, or pirate ship. I understand overcoming the FSU and UF fan bases is difficult, but the administration doesn't seem to be concerned with doing what is necessary. Since I've been here, I've seen 1 USF advertisement in Tampa and it was a ridiculous fight song billboard. On top of everything else, the Big East has clearly lost all respectability and the distinction between UCF and USF is shrinking with them soon to be playing in the same conference. I wish nothing but the best for USF, but there is a long road ahead. Go Gamecocks! Unless you are a student-athelete you should not be picking your school based on its athletic program. With that kind of thinking, your departure should provide a slight bump in our academic standing. Being fustrated is fine, but don't make life decisions on whether or not you think your university in committed to winning. if you'll go back and read my post you'll see that it INFLUENCED my transfer and by no means is why i'm leaving. i'm not sure what some of you don't understand about that. secondly, my point is not for me to be the center of attention. my point is to shed light that it probably INFLUENCES others student sports fanatics in a similar manner. with that said, i am a serious sports fan and want a school who is as passionate about athletics as me. i came here because i wanted usf to be that school and it's just not. i will always pull for usf, just not against usc.
  2. actually, if you go look at the u.s. news rankings, usc beats usf in every category. oh and don't even get me started on the athletics. my point was, not that anyone gives a **** about me moving on to greener pastures, but i'm sure i'm not the only person athletics has influenced to leave.

  4. "It's highly likely that we'll be one of the only college venues in the country that has corner display boards, as well as ribbon boards, as well as a center home scoreboard, as well as about 100 different distributed TV monitors around the building, too," Lafferty said. http://www.usforacle.com/sun-dome-renovations-taking-shape-1.2663105#.TrorIFZSlJM
  5. I was extremely upset after our last 3 losses and said some things about the team that weren't so kind, but the Bulls played extremely hard tonight. The outcome is frustrating, and BJ's passing was as well, but I watched a game where our guys gave everything they had. It came down to a missed field goal, from a normally reliable kicker. As fans, we have every right to be upset, but I can't be mad at college kids for a loss that came after they gave everything they had on the field. It is unimaginable that we have now dropped 4 straight games after beginning our season with 4 wins, but at least they haven't rolled over. I believe this season is the result of poor coaching, but I am not willing to support firing a coach after less than 2 seasons. I'm holding out hope for a decent mens basketball season.
  6. You cannot be series... 100% serious. They want to be just like us.
  7. We hate UCF, but I don't get the feeling that UCF hates us. Especially after reading articles written by Mike Bicocky over the past week. I would smile if UCF burned to the ground, but hate is such a strong word. We need to be as far away as possible from UCF, because if not I'm not sure the country will be able to distinguish between the 2 schools.
  8. Sorry, they will never be the lesser evil. Why play them any sooner than we have to ... besides, I thought they didn't do payday games anymore? To answer your question, I'd rather have anybody over them until we have to ... I'd rather watch USF play Al Queda. If they're not available, Plant City would be a better option. Unfortunately, I feel like we are now forever linked with UCF. Two directional schools for people around the country to mix up when not discussing the big 3.
  9. Stalking is a term commonly used to refer to unwanted and obsessive attention by an individual or group to another person. Stalking behaviors are related to harassment andintimidation and may include following the victim in person and/or monitoring them via the internet. The word stalking is used, with some differing meanings, in psychology andpsychiatry and also in some legal jurisdictions as a term for a criminal offense.
  10. How do you know he's not? from deadspin who has a copy of the lawsuit on their site. "In the way of news, the suit confirms that UConn, Louisville, Rutgers and Cincinnati have held discussions with other conferences about jumping ship." Doesn't mention USF. http://deadspin.com/5854992/ Let's clear this up. The lawsuit does not say those schools had conversations with other conferences. The lawsuit cites public comments made by employees of the school or by politicians in the states those schools reside. For example, someone at UConn stated they were looking at the landscape or something and a politician followed up by saying publicly that UConn was talking to the ACC. There is no proof in the lawsuit that UConn was talking to anyone. Conversely, USF is not in there because no one at USF made public comments. That doesn't mean USF wasn't talking to anyone. I wish reporters were more accurate when they report. That used to be something reporters took pride in. Not anymore, apparently. of course databull, you're always right. you're so dreamy and smart.
  11. And que a comment from a mod about you not knowing what Judge Judy and Capt'n Wollard are doing +1 , thats all i will say, if i don't include a source my post may be edited or deleted.
  12. How do you know he's not? from deadspin who has a copy of the lawsuit on their site. "In the way of news, the suit confirms that UConn, Louisville, Rutgers and Cincinnati have held discussions with other conferences about jumping ship." Doesn't mention USF. http://deadspin.com/5854992/ Page 6, Paragraph 27 is where this confirmation took place. Pretty vague about all but UConn and doesn't say a thing about USF NOT having discussions, which I would hope WVU wouldn't be privy to to begin with ... if they don't have any real info on the discussions, why not include us with everyone else?
