I agree. Where I get concerned is sustained success. In the past, if you had great recruits/players, you could envision the next 3+years with them on the team. So, you would expect if the team did great one year, the next year would be great or good. Now, players can come and go at a blink of an eye with dollars being dangled at their nose. This new college football system is different (I won't say worse or better), but what I can say is that school pride/tradition/loyalty are being diminished from the athletes perspective. So, lets say after we have the best season in program history. Coming out of our run in the CFP, do we lose a ton of talent and our coach to bigger programs? How do you maintain a successful program these days with a G5 school (I understand P5 schools are susceptible, but I would argue they are less affected)? Is the selling point that you attract diamonds in the rough to give them publicity so they can leave for greener pastures?

I know this is great for BB, and am really happy for him. Should we be concerned about his future with USF?

The document is a starting point for the project’s entire 615,404 proposed net square feet. The 35,001 units labeled “spectator seating” include 12,101 for bench seating, 6,940 for students and 9,992 for priority chairbacks. There are 20 loge boxes (four people apiece) and “living room box seating” (10 boxes of eight lounge seats). The stadium club adds another 19,890 square feet for everything from lounge areas to concession stands and a “parents lounge” next to the family restroom. There’s also a field-level club (11,370 square feet) and party patio (8,875 square feet). Public restrooms cover another 27,550 square feet — 233 units for men, 282 for women and six for families. The main concourse spans 100,000 square feet with “drinking fountains throughout.” That’s notable because at least one USF trustee has made a crack at how rival UCF’s stadium did not have enough when it opened. Each corner of the stadium would have its own plaza fan service area of 10,000 square feet. The plan calls for 65 traditional cooking concession stands and 65 labeled “tradition non-cooking.” A 4,000-square-foot kitchen and 3,000-square-foot commissary are also under the dining/retail section, along with a team store (2,500 square feet) and three novelty stands.

Looks like he didn’t see any game time against Temple. Depth chart had him OR DJ Harris on the end (who recorded 2 solo tackles and 3 assists).

.. for one complete game on both sides of the ball. The first quarter got me really excited and teased me into thinking this would be it. Offense was clicking and defense was stepping up to the challenge. That little bit of excitement is a feeling I haven’t had in years. However, those feeling faded pretty quick in the second quarter, and I honestly thought Temple was going to comeback and take the lead (I’m scarred from the past). I just look forward to feeling that excitement again. We’ll get there one day… Go Bulls!

If you’re still around and posting on this board than you are just as disgusting as the rest of us. We are all mentally screwed from the worst back to back loss records in USF history: 2019: 4-8, 2020: 1-8, 2021: 2-10, 2022: 1-11. If there is one thing we know how to do, it is to be associated with a losing program. Do we like it? F$&@ no! And we all keep coming back hoping it will change one day. So maybe we are disgusting and insane. We are the true cream of the crop of USF fandom as Red and @cc_pookah say. I still have hope in the team and the system CAG is trying to install. So please excuse me for seeing the positives in a loss to Memphis. No one is ok with losing, but I am going to point out when my expectations were exceeded. If you can’t take it anymore, and can’t be disgusting with us, cut your ties and stop following the team.

You are correct, the object of the sport of football is to win games. However, you have to admit that this team (which is lacking talent) is showing a different fight when compared to last years team under CJS who has more talent to work with. I had this game slated as a loss at the beginning of the season and to be completely honest, I had this game slated as a loss Saturday morning. Just wait until we get some fresh talent and depth in the door, and I guarantee under this staff we will see a consistently winning team. Its just hard to imagine since we all have ptsd from the last 5 seasons.

.. but how many thought it would be a close shootout for the majority of the game with a chance to have an on the road win??

To be fair, I think we all had this game as a loss at the beginning of the season. The fact is, there is a lot of damage from CCS and CJS that has to be undone. I was hopeful that this year would be a turnaround year and we have outperformed my expectation so far. Do I think we could have won more games this year? Hell yeah! But we are coming off a 1 win season and lost good talent to the transfer portal. I think CAG and crew and doing fine for their first season. I am optimistic for this team, shoot we still have a chance to be bowl eligible if we take care of Temple and Charlotte.

The difference between Todd and previous DCs is the aggressiveness in play calling. Sure, he may be a bit too aggressive in some situations, but the fact is that the team is lacking talent on D. Our front 4 is incapable of getting pressure, hell even under blitz packages they lack pressure. Our secondary lacks talent to play man to man, hence the gaping holes due to zone coverage. It’s either get burnt over the top, or play soft secondary and pray the rushers force mayhem or stop the run. This D needs depth, talent and time. We have seen that they are better coached this year just by looking at open field tackling. I’m excited for the future, and understand we aren’t going to have it this season.

Preach. i am optimistic, and believe we will see a more consistent team we give the program time to mature and CAG brings in the recruits to fit his system.

Sadly, this is exactly the team I would expect. It seems like we step up to the level of tougher opponents and a different team plays the following week. Lets break that cycle.

Man, its been a while since posting, and to be honest the last few years have been rough. CAG has inspired some excitement in me, and I am hopeful to see a turnaround this year. Anyway, I found a YouTube channel called HumbleWayTV which was created by Freshman DL Stantavious Smith. He is vlogging his onboarding experience and I find it interesting to get an inside view of USF football from the player's perspective.

Would all be forgiven if we finally put together a full game and come out with a dominating win against C.? I honestly would feel better about winning our rivalry game, but I still think changes are needed. I still lack faith in the staff, and I'm afraid a win tonight will mask a lot of the issues. What do you guys think?

And UCONN's D wasn't? Houston has Oliver, and our o-line is a bit suspect. I hope we can pull it off.

Beating a undefeated UCF over a single or multiple loss UCF does absolutely nothing for us in terms of the CFP. The most we can do is win the CCG and make a NY6 bowl. As long as we win out, then we will get the "recognition" we all are seeking. Playoffs are out of the question until we make it into a P5 conference, and that won't happen if UCF overshadows us. I will not be banking on any sort of package deal if there is a conference expansion, especially if UCF looks like the better product. With that said, I will not be cheering for UCF to win. But the team really needs to get it together for us to have any shot.

Although a ucf win would help the P6 argument and make our Florida package deal look sweeter in the event of conference expansion, for my own selfish reasons I would rather see Auburn take the win.
