    But that’s just it, the B12 schools know that it’s just a matter of time before Oregon and Washington are gone (and probably Stanford as well). If anything the four corner schools from the PAC will be leaving for the B12 soon enough.

    We don’t get that many three stars now compared to the BCS days (not including transfers).

    That was what was used when I was a student. I remember it well. It’s kind of groovey man

    I said the BCS gave us better players and those players were generally better than what we have had the past five years.

    For a program that is still so young, it’s hard for me to want to buy “retro.”

    Correct. There was no time in last years game that I thought we were going to win. Got to get off to a good start on the defensive side especially. If they take a 27 to 7 lead and we lose 31 to 21 it will be a “meh” moment for me.

    Wait…you’re telling me the talent from 15 years ago was the same as the last five seasons? Have you actually seen our defense? Our QB? I should have know better than to insinuate that precious Jim Leavitt was not the difference…sometimes this board….I’ll stand by my point that the talent level from a depth and key positions perspective was better 15 years ago than the last few years. In some cases it was not even close.

    No, I agree. I was off on that…focusing too much on the ugly look when there are empty seats.

    I disagree. I get it the most important thing is for people to buy tickets and that impacts our bottom line the most. However, I do think that not bother showing up is also a sign towards interest in the team. It is non-quantitative but I do suggest it is there and it is important. We especially see it in games where the opponent does not excite people, non Saturday games, etc. I realize that some of this will never be eliminated due to the fact that Tampa is a pro sports town.
