At the moment, if we dropped our season tickets, I’m not worried about our ability to get equivalent replacements so that guarantee doesn’t carry much weight. With the auto renewal of season tickets, the carrot is that ticket prices will be locked in but only UNTIL we move into the stadium so yeah, it seems that the pricing will be reset. We are undecided amongst our group on moving forward, we have until Nov to opt out of auto renew so we will see how the season goes. 

    FYI the first charge is November, but they're saying you have until 9/15 to opt out of the auto renewal

    I mean I got the Horns Up Auto Renewal email. I got the game day "Everything You Need To Know For Saturday's Game" email. Just not these which is weird.

    I haven't called my rep. I originally emailed her, she replied back. I replied immediately and she called me but I haven't been in a spot that I could take/make calls this week. I emailed her again and told her that. Still nothing. Friend emailed his rep, got a text, and bought a parking pass yesterday without issue. My previous reps (one no longer there and before that John Lewis) were great at multiple forms of communication. Not sure why this one can't answer anything but a call. 

    There's been more issues we've dealt with than what I've mentioned here so if it seems like a petty complaint it's only a little petty :) I'll try to call this week since I'll be able to, but that doesn't help the fact that I was trying to make changes before yesterday's game.

I didn't get any of these emails (just the one saying I need to decide if I want to opt out of auto-renewal by next week) and my STM rep isn't answering my emails (in which, amongst other things, I was asking how I could give more money to this program before the game yesterday). How do I get a new rep? My buddy reached out to his rep yesterday and got an almost instant response. I'm going on 5 days.

    Edit... 9 days.

    And this is coming from a former band member.

    The band's job is to be a representative and ambassador of the University, not just for football entertainment. Of course, the primary responsibility as an athletic band is to support the athletic programs, but the overall goal is to represent the university.

    These kids had to PAY for this trip.  Not like they couldn't do it on their own.

    If we want exclusivity, then Athletics should fork up the dough to pay for the band 100%. The majority of funding for the bands comes from the kids between tuition, fees, and supplies. I agree though, let's get the band to out of state away games. I wish we had more travel when I was in HOT.

     

    This was an opportunity to represent the University and HOT delivered - to both this and the Bowl game. There were multiple contingencies in place should we have made a larger bowl game or needed more personnel. The HOT staff is pretty smart and good at what they do.
