  1. I think we have the right coach and he's getting the team turned in the right direction.
  2. I thought the same thing lol last week. He will only get better as he learns.
  3. It's summer for 90% of the year in Florida! Wtf. Is it too woke to discuss if the stadium will get LEEDS Certification, which will mean it HAS to take for into account climate change and protecting the players and spectators health?
  4. Australia has a heat problem too. "..as Australian summers become more prone to extreme heat conditions, sustainable and climate-adaptable stadium design has become a leading consideration for both sporting codes and governments". https://theconversation.com/we-need-to-climate-proof-our-sports-stadiums-90020
  5. Well maybe this is on topic. Because apparently other people building stadiums are taking climate change into consideration. And climate change is why you can't buy property insurance from a private company in Florida. How to climate-proof a stadium THEHILL.COM To stay in Oakland, the A’s have to build on the bay — but what about sea level surges, as well as earthquakes and chemical pollution?
  6. Explain to me now why you can't buy property insurance from an actual insurance company in Florida?
  7. Weather isn't climate. The science 30 years ago isn't nearly as advanced as it is today. Look at cars, do they have the same technology now as they did 30 years ago? How about phones? No. It advances. 30 years ago you could buy property insurance from an insurance company in Florida. Why can't you now?
  8. 125 heat index https://www.wtsp.com/article/weather/florida-extreme-heat-index/67-04e91115-bf11-431c-a741-8cd0f7f01757
  9. And it will only get worse. What's the life of the stadium supposed to be? 30 years from now it's probably going to be 115° in Tampa on game day. And it's not a "dry" heat.
  10. I wonder what they are doing about the heat which is only going to increase. Perhaps something like Miami did to Hard Rock? Climate change is real. I have a cousin who lives on Sarasota Bay who told me he has 3-5 years or less before his house will be unlivable due to rising sea levels, increasing 7" a decade.
  11. It's been two games and we're not even being discussed non-stop on Sports Center! Unbelievable!
  12. I think he has definitely got the program turning around from what it's been the past few years.
  13. Conferences Are Changing. The Sport Is, Too. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/01/sports/ncaafootball/college-football-preview-realignment-big12-bigten-acc-pac12-bigten.html?smid=nytcore-android-share
  14. What could he do? This is being driven by mountains of cash the AAC doesn't have any hope of matching. SMU has enough money to not even get any tv money at first!
  15. Money has been destroying college football for decades. Regional rivalries was a big part of the game. Cap coaching salaries and let's get some parity wouldn't hurt either.
  16. All AI apparently does this type of thing, it’s called “hallucinating”. Hallucination (artificial intelligence) - Wikipedia
  17. I asked, Googles’s AI, bard, to give the statistical probability that USF Bulls will reach the playoffs in the next seven years. —————————————————- The South Florida Bulls have not yet made the College Football Playoff, but they have the potential to do so in the next 7 years. The Bulls have a strong recruiting class coming in for 2023, and they are also bringing in a new head coach, Jeff Scott. Scott has a proven track record of success at both Alabama and Clemson, and he is expected to help the Bulls take the next step. According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Bulls have a 12.5% chance of making the College Football Playoff in the next 7 years. This is based on a number of factors, including the Bulls' current roster, their recruiting class, and their schedule. Of course, there are no guarantees in college football. The Bulls will need to stay healthy, and they will need to win some big games. But if they can do that, they have a good chance of making the College Football Playoff in the next 7 years. Here are some of the factors that could affect the Bulls' chances of making the College Football Playoff in the next 7 years: The quality of their recruiting classes. The development of their young players. The coaching staff's ability to make the most of their talent. The strength of their schedule. The health of their players. If the Bulls can overcome these challenges, they have a good chance of making the College Football Playoff in the next 7 years.
  18. I remember reading where FAU’s program was so underfunded they couldn’t afford to bring their cheerleaders to away games. It made news because I think it was Alabama cheerleaders felt Sorry for them and paid for their way when they played in Alabama. I wonder if it was because of the OCS
