"For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with FSU, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of the ACC?"
-
I'm hoping that the tarps that are purchased from Harbor Freight (for shading in the new stadium) will be screen printed with motivational phrases such as "Conference Champions", or "War on I-4, What is it good 4?"
-
Just zip tie some tarps over the existing structure. They sell nice tarps at Harbor Freight. They have green Tarps. Would like very nice.

I see a lot of improvement. They’ve actually exceeded what I expected this season.

It's easy to think people are valuable and in-demand, but there's a big reality check when it comes to the costs of actually leaving. Even for FSU and Clemson, they may be insurmountable right now. 5-8 years from now will be different, but if anyone who thinks a school that isn't those two (or MAYBE UNC) will just be leaving on the first ship is grossly underestimating what that actually means.
They are leaving. Soon. It’s just a matter of crossing T’s and dotting I’s.

It is a gamble that I feel USF had to take. They could keep playing in an NFL stadium and be another Temple or take a chance to build something special on campus.
They wouldn’t build it unless they already knew the outcome.

Looking forward to reading the Matt Baker and Tampa Bay Business Journal articles announcing this gift, just above their articles expressing concern about the financial costs of the OCS.
Btw I strongly suspect more gifts are coming. Looking forward to the naming rights aspect of this deal.
Bull's-Eye Barbecue Stadium, anyone?
Stop wasting your time with the TBT.

I don’t think SMU gets added to the ACC… seems like a choice with very limited growth potential.
This talk of the Big12 taking the PAC rejects doesn’t make sense. The Big12 is already taking PAC schools, why would they not take the PAC left overs before, what caused a change of heart? Nothing. They aren’t going to the Big12.
They should join the MWC.
If their brands had media value the PAC wouldn’t have collapsed and they wouldn’t have been left out.Re-alignment leaves behind the schools with small fan bases and fewer viewers.
Academics don’t matter.
The PAC schools left behind are left behind because of lack of viewers.
They are doing it to prevent the AAC from gaining “strength.”

Like 14 years late though. Imagine, we just finished the 2007 season after climbing all the way to number 2. The season ends, and USF announces the OCS and an IPF. We would have been ACC bound for sure at that point.
I certainly agree. I was all for it going back before that. However, even Leavitt wasn’t sold on an on-campus stadium. He was quoted many times indicating that Raymond James; “Is one my best recruiting tools.”

I don't know. I don't think any conference would have guaranteed us a spot for building the OCS; especially with the fact that the chess board of conference realignment is changing every minute.
Now I am sure we were told that building an OCS would be helpful for our situation if we also started winning.
That’s why they did push it through. They know something. They wouldn’t have don’t that otherwise.

USF is will have it’s day. It’s coming. The pendulum will return.

Now that things are set in motion with the stadium, I believe the urgency from one of the P5 to acquire USF will increase (they will not want to risk losing this market). They know that the winning will come eventually. It is likely that market potential will supersede on field performance.

I have a sneaking suspicion that it has all been figured out. I feel very confident.

Nothing shows he is a great recruiter. Nothing shows he can run an entire team
nothing shows he can turn a program around
it’s nice to say he singe handily turned Tennessee offense around but that isnt true. He was a part of it.
good hire? Yes for any other team. Not for 1-11 team needing someone who has shown they can clean a program up
Dud.

Scott Frost has to be near the top of our list in my opinion. Not saying he’s the one but he has to be considered
It's a safe bet he would want to bail shortly after success. We need a "lifer." They do exist. All a part of this Catch-22.

What does everyone think about trying to join the Pac 12, if our other options don't pan out. The more I think about this, the more I think it might be an option. Word is, Pac would look at SDSU and SMU as their first couple of options. Why not make a run at the Pac 12? UCF is going into a conference with BYU, and the Big 12 is talking about going coast to coast. Is this a viable option?
Hardly any upside to the Bigaac or Pac12. The "powers that be" are engaged in the process for a move that is more substantial. ACC more than likely.

Bad Ref’s, crucial mistakes at crucial times and still competed. The team has more juice than I’ve seen in awhile and this could be indicative (hopefully) of their upswing.
-
That’s on coaching. Those types of throws right after a momentum changer are inexcusable. The have a run game that’s working should’ve never called that pass play should’ve been methodical with the runs down the field quarterback runs etc. They could not stop the run and bootleg.

Exactly. All at the behest of the “suits” that run the networks. This was a coordinated strategy to diminish the other conferences.
