  1. Reported yesterday afternoon that Marcus Shaw is out for this week and Bulls will have to find someone to step up to spell Murray. Nice to know we have to pay to find out that information, right? Must have forgotten we played last week.
  2. Nevada will finish in the Top 10 for total offense, maybe even top 5, and will most likely run the table and finish 12-1 on the season. A lot of experts proclaimed them as the final BCS buster of the season and we bursted that bubble, on the road, in a very loud 25,000 fan stadium (those seats were practically on the field) and a terribly difficult to breathe altitude. Nevada was favored in this game for a reason.
  3. Wasn't Jamison the RB last year, too??? And how many rushing yards did Rutgers have against us??? Let's just say it'll be safe to assume they will eclipse that mark from last year. Cuz if they don't, this game will not be close.
  4. I thought there was only one in 2011.... Darrell Scott screen play.
  5. Well he said their OL is better than our DL in terms of talent. (bulletin board, plz). Also said that their receiving corps is better than our secondary because their TE is taller than our LBs and DBs. Also said this: South Florida’s group of linebackers may be one of the rare groups of linebackers who can stop Nevada’s Pistol Offense. But, using history as a guide, South Florida’s group of linebackers will probably struggle to control Nevada’s Pistol Offense in the first half of this game, especially in the first quarter.
  6. Won't even bother reading. Did he give a score? Based on the writing, it sounds like he's predicting a blowout. As for the flight..... what the hell is so draining about a 5.5 hour flight????? Sheesh. May as well say Nevada will win cuz theyve been around longer.
  7. He called it the Most Under-The-Radar game of the week.
  8. Rishard Matthews was ridiculous last year. Dolphins got a 7th round steal.
  9. Professional Accomplishments! Check, please!
  10. Do we have Willis McGahee behind Murray? The point of redshirting Lamar is because the RB position next year looks very bleak unless they land a big time recruit. Marcus Shaw can't stay healthy or out of the doghouse, Murray and now possibly Lamar will be gone. Unless Terrence Mitchell can play RB too, we're looking at a thin and, quite frankly, untalented RB group for '13
  11. Typical Nevada offense. It is centered around the performance of the QB. Cody Fajardo has been good, so far, but has been fumbling prone recently. Stefphon Jefferson is a work-horse built a lot like Demetris Murray, and he did well against Cal, but Fajardo is the center-piece. Chris Ault has been on record saying he is a better passer than Kaepernick and just as good as a runner as Kaepernick (coach-speak way of saying he is better?). He is to be taken very seriously. "The Union" is pretty good as well, very experienced.
  12. I agree.... Whoever has the higher score will win Exactly! See, here's the thing! It's a big race in the Big East. And with USF having one win so far, if they win this game, that gives them 2.
  13. Who the hell would you vote in before him??? Ben Moffitt???? PULLEEEZ. I guess Andre Hall shouldn't go in either since he was only here, what, two years?
  14. I heard slot machines are the only noise you hear in the stadium.
  15. I see both teams scoring in the 30s maybe 40s. I think whoever has the higher score at the end of the game wins this one, though.
  16. I wish we didn't have that formation. We don't run well out of the pistol, or the shotgun. The offense, and B.J.'s passing, is more effective when we line up under center. Not with the O Line we have
  17. Depends on how much separation our WR's can get. They all run 4.3. If they get behind the secondary and create some space, BJ can hit 50%. That's all that Holtz wants. So long as we don't get intercepted. I agree with you, that our hard hitting, swarming defense should be able to create fumbles. Hopefully, they will do a better job in recovering them, then what they did last year. if bj could hit 50% of deep balls we would throw alot more smazza... i never thought it would happen.. but.. (I can't believe I'm typing this)... I Agree right it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the play calling. He averages 20% less yards per attempt under holtz than he did under leavitt. 3 receivers averaged over 17.7 yards per catch under leavitt in BJs first year including griffin at 18.9.Griffin under Holtz last year averaged 12.3. 1 receiver has averaged over 14 yards per catch under holtz and that was bogan in 2010 at 14.6. leavitt actually had a couple more over 16 ypc but they had less than 10 catches so i didn't include them It also has something to do with who was bailing him out on those passes under leavitt.... Taurus Johnson, Jessie Hester JR (pre injury), Carlton Mitchell, Bogan, AJ Love... no freshman... T-Johnson a clear leader as a Sr. WR.. Hester was a Jr.... come on man... its not all on the coach. Bail him out??? The point of the deep ball passing game is having receivers fast enough to run past the defender and under the ball, which we have a handfull of this year.
  18. I don't think anyone is saying he CAN'T do it... I think we're saying... he doesn't hit 50% of them. Show me 1 QB in the NCAA who is throwing better than 50% on balls thrown IN THE AIR over 30 yards. I don't think anyone is saying he CAN'T do it... I think we're saying... he doesn't hit 50% of them. Show me 1 QB in the NCAA who is throwing better than 50% on balls thrown IN THE AIR over 30 yards. I meant to add "consistently" to my post.
  19. All pplz saying BJ can't throw the deep ball hasn't watched USF football the past 3+ seasons.
  20. This injury will impact their national title run. Not so much the game against us.
