  1. It’s great that he’s so high on the staff and the potential of USF. Still a long way to go, but still, he’s turned down offers from schools like TAMU, so that’s pretty big. He’s either holding out for a bigger NIL offer or he’s really sold on us.

He seems comfortable moving around outside the pocket, which, given our history, he’ll have to do. Still skeptical of the ability of USF to field a successful offense where the QB isn’t running 15+ times per game.

Wish I could go, planned on it but my wife has an employee Christmas breakfast at work she has to attend at 5am. Will cut it close getting back before she has to leave. Can't leave my 3 year old home alone, I hear that is frowned upon.

Do they know how to set up an elaborate network of booby traps around the house? If so, they should be fine for a week or so...

  3. Another way to look at it is we had a recruiting class about on par with Michigan State and out-recruited the following Power 5 programs (if you go by 247 composite class rankings): Arizona, Wake Forest Cincinnati, Duke Brigham Young, Iowa State, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Cal, Indiana, Kansas State, Utah, Washington State, Baylor, UCLA, Boston College, Northwestern, and Virginia.

Anyone else planning on getting this game in the summer of 2024? Maybe we can start a board season?

    1. Probably only going to get it if it releases on PC. I haven't had a console since XBOX 360 (excluding Switch, but that doesn't count).
    2. Going to wait to see how the game looks and how bad the microtransactions/DLC is going to be. EA hasn't been investing a lot of energy into its sports properties so I'll wait to see if it's just a half-hearted money-grabbing Madden reskin.

That's really the bottom line to our saga ..... but to me, a little better way to put that would be that they hired coaches who worked out better there. I have a difficult time calling Frosty a better coach than Skip.

It’s hard to argue he’s a bad coach — just couldn’t get it done at a higher level. He took UConn to the FCS playoffs, won 2 CUSA titles at ECU, went to the championship game 3 times at Louisiana Tech, and won the USFL title in back-to-back seasons. The only place he didn’t do well is here.

Meanwhile Frost had one winning season out of the 7 he was a head coach. Granted it was 13-0 so that goes a long way. Might have just been that O’Learys upper-classmen came together at the right time.

    2.  Agree; love it.  He's "fascinated" previously we've not been able to make it work here.

Horrified is more like it. Leading up to this season, we are 66-91 in the years since Leavitt left. Four coaches and only left the program in better shape than he found it. Still no championship in an increasingly watered down and irrelevant conference.

I hope Golesh leads us to dominate this conference and take us back where we belong.

45-13? We aren’t playing world beaters here. They just lost their coach. This score line seems more sensational than realistic. I’m not sure but I think we should be better than Western Michigan.

I would hope so, but we got our doors blown off by 4-8 UAB and FAU so it's not like it's outside of the realm of possibility. We managed to win by less than 4 points against 3-9 UConn and Temple. We were still giving up an average of 36 pts per game in the last 4 games. I feel like everyone is riding high off that Charlotte blowout, when in reality that was one of the worst-coached/playing teams I've ever seen in my life. We still struggled against bad teams and sometimes were dominated by them.

I feel like we're gonna give up two touchdowns early, as we've been prone to do, and then one of two things is gonna happen: we're gonna come back and squeak out a win or we're gonna lay down and get blown out.

It's amazing what Bible money can do.....

    Quote

    Exodus 32:2
Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool.

    Exodus 32:19
When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain

    Exodus 32:35
And the Lord struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.

There you have it, folks. Right there in the bible. Everything bad that's happened to us: 2007 ending in futility, Leavitt fired, relegated to AAC, never winning a conference championship, Skip Holtz, Charlie Strong, Jeff Scott, UCF to B12, left behind multiple times in realignment, etc. All of it. We danced and worshipped the golden calf (brahman) and now we've been cursed for it.

Goodluck to any in our secondary trying to transfer from the 130th ranked passing defense.

Hopefully CAG can snag some secondary talent from portal but more importantly HS.

If they're looking for a starting job, they're better off putting their names in the Burger King Careers portal than the FBS Transfer Portal.
