  1. t When you stop hearing the "crampy, whiny" then you can just turn out the lights. The day we show up with the worst performance in years, with a noticeable lack of effort, and our fan base says "well you win some you loose some, see you next Saturday" is the day we have 12k fans in the stadium. That isn't how any program works. This is D1 BCS College Football. It isn't JV at your local high school! I am not saying win some, lose some. I am saying this constant beating down of the team is just crap. I am a USF fan because USF changed my life. My degree is from there, I met my wife there, I grew up on that campus, and attended as a student for 10 years. As a true fan you show up and support what you believe in. You have every right to want wins, but this board has broken, once again this year, into a little ***** fest. Fire Holtz, Kill BJ, Hang Woolard. All with no real substance other than to vent. I am just saying, get some school spirit and just be a real fan.
  2. If we are down by 28 after halftime and win the game, I'll pay for 1 of your season tickets next year. If we don't, you can buy me 2 bottles of water for every game for the rest of this year and all of next. Deal? I know your love for Bourbon County elixir.... Bet you a bottle of bourbon we never get down by 4 TDs. You make the call on brand. Personally, Knob Creek, Bakers, or a small batch Jefferson will do... lol
  3. stop your ******* whining and be a fan. There was nothing wrong with trying to push the fact that we are at the same level as the other schools in the state. Matter of fact we beat all but UF in size, grant money, patents, etc. Football should be supporting your school, not the identity of who you are as an alumni.. I am so tired of hearing the crampy, whiny, snivelling ******** about how we cannot win. Put on the Green and Gold and support your team, or go root for the Gators, they have room on their bandwagon.
  4. We have been preparing for Saturday all season. Sure we are 2-2, the two wins were just straight up bigger school wins. Then we got to two teams with equal power. We could have beat them, sure. We had the tools, but then FSU would see our arsenal. Skip has decided to keep our secret weapons under wraps. He sees the big picture, well past the amateurs in the stands. Yes, he lost to Rutgers, and that brings the heat. Yes, he lost to Ball State, but that is non-conference, and is just a thorn under the saddle of the team. He has successfully riled us up, made us look weak and created no bulletin board smack talk to piss off FSU. Now, we are poised. We are the Bull ready to rush the cowboy we just threw in 6 seconds. Here is the plan. We attack, crushing FSU (again). We get the talk of the country. How did the mighty FSU fall. We move on, into the meat of the Big East. Of course now the monster is unleashed, there is no secret, but no hiding. Yes, we have a conference loss, but that will not matter. we will be the Beast of the East. Daniels the duel threat, 300 in the air, 100 on the ground, because he WANTS to, not because he has to. Lamar shows ungodly speed, Sports Illustrated throws the yahoo from Oregon off the cover to replace it with a real man in Real Green, and pissy Gold... but it is OUR Gold, the Gold that runs through our veins. The Green that makes others well Green with envy. And all this starts Saturday when the lowly Semi-holes run into the Ray Jay to boos, to listen to the crowd "win, win win, no matter what", and this time, Ludacris will tell us exactly what strippers butts do, unedited.. like our game.
  5. However, if you play in them all the time you know how to adjust. Last year we beat Ball State in the heat. I bet their coach said as much. We played in it too, and practice in it every day. Tell anyone who went into Minnesota to play the Vikings after thanksgiving weather was not a factor, they were undefeated at home for like 14 years in December. Not giving Holtz and out, just saying it is a factor. So is the fact that we never blitzed, or held on a 3rd down AGAIN.
  6. Why don't you pony up for the first one. When I see it on Fowler I will believe you are serious in this instead of just trying to instigate others into action. If it is "just a few hundred" do it. I do not believe you are serious, just looking for chatter.
  7. I cannot go with fire Skip, but my God has he screwed up our defense. Offense is getting better, but I always cherished our defense. What do we have 2 sacks and 2 stopped 3rd and long. If I was FSU I would take a knee on the 1st two downs to set up third a long. I did think at the end of the game though "wonder if we can get CJL back".
  8. All valid points, this week. Face it, where was this post the prior week? oh yeah, we won so BJ had his head on straight, the DL stood up when they needed to, and the coaches were great guys, give Hotlz another 3 years now. Here are the points, and don't get me wrong I am as frustrated over Thursday night as anyone, I saw the the same thing, what did Rutgers convert 10-12 3rd and longs (+9 yards)? 1. We NEVER win on Thursday night, please help, we should not have been here, it was a late add. 2. We NEVER prepare for Rutgers defense. 3. We just gave the rest of the Big East their play calling for the season, we cannot block and we will not pressure. 4. Skip needs to spend time at Jefferson and find us a few more public school kids.
  9. He gave BJ a helmet sticker, and May gave a gameball award to Davis for his career game.
  10. When they did this for Basketball they were best available seats. Not bad, filled in the empty holes. Would hope they would put them down in the 100's so that the stadium looks full for the national tv audience. One reason to have your own stadium, those red seats will look like Futger fans when the camera pans.....
  11. Obviously love the Bulls, but not only is this so overdone it gets no traction, this really is not the best effort put forward. Find a new song, maybe "We will Rock you", or end of season "We are the Champions"....
  12. classic garage door design They built this so the UCF grads get used to working the cart barn for the USF alumni playing golf.
  13. How utterly liberal hippy. Let's all celebrate with Tie Dye
  14. Don't think so. BHSN is supposedly going heavy into high school sports and dropped us. No. Verizon got the new sponsorship agreement and BHN does not have the broadcast anymore.
  15. My only beef, and I know it is a $5 shirt, but the **** thing says "We believe in the Green and Gold" in Green and White.....grrrrrr
  16. I have had Knights Head before... from some chick names Snooky, or Nooky,
  17. Pilogomy Porter, it is a great beer, taste wise, but low alcohol....
  18. If I can get off work in time me and the mrs. will come out. She has decided she wants to be a soccer fan....
  19. The commercials are a fact of life, that is everywhere. The Green and Gold, comes from the cheerleaders and people being into the game and interacting with the cheerleaders when they call for the chant. It is hard to yell "Green" and Beer guy" at the same time.... I would be for putting the HOT on the speakers and they play fight song etc. at consistent points. We have built a bit of a tradtion with "win, win win" played at kick offs. "everyones HORNS go up...."
  20. I don't know, but I feel that in game traditions really need to start organically. You cannot build tradition by committee. The true traditions within the stadium, the "fun" things usually come from the students, and probably the Greeks who start chants, gaytor chomps, hatchet swings, etc. There are some that the school can do, i.e. the war eagle flight at Auburn, but is simply having a Bull on the sidelines a tradition? Personally, I like the opening running of the bulls. I thought that the team needed to come in to the spanish flair of a bull fight, and what we have now is a tradition. It does not have the impact you like because the stands are still half empty when the team comes in. Also, as much as I love it being on the team side, our students are as far away as possible for the team entrance so we lose impact there too. Years ago I went to the Outback Bowl when Wisconsin played. Their fans and cheerleaders did the most incedible routines with the wave I have ever seen. I am not a wave fan per-se, but their cheerleaders directed them into a 5 minute wave routine that had them speed up, slow down, split in two directions, wind from the lower to the upper deck, all kinds of crap like it was an olympic dance routine or something. These come from fans being engaged and dedicated. I think sometimes our biggest fan tradition is calling over the beer guy.
  21. And you can always try to recoup by selling the unused season on the secondary investment market (see SEATS story) haha.. honestly though, even if you get $10 a game you are in great shape.
  22. Could this also lead to slow early sales and late rushes for tickets? If they fluctuate within the week of tickets or such, and I am a one game ticket buyer, perhaps I sit back to see if the price drops. Or, can it go up if ticket sales are robust? I guess if that is the case I can become a ticket speculator, or arbitrage ticket sales. It is a good idea, but I would also like to see tickets go to high schools, etc. I mean, what better way to build student interest than to get the next generation into the seats.
