There are actually more than you may think. I watched a lot of Baylor this year, and they never took snaps from under center. Oklahoma State didn't against Stanford, and neither did Michigan against VT against OSU.
The teams I think of that run a mix are LSU who typically does run a spread, but took a couple of snaps under center. And FSU, who runs a true mix.
I do think it would be nice to be able to have a nice mix. But I think we just need to stick with the spread because that is who the players are in FLorida. They are smaller fast guys that can fly. Which is perfect for spreading the field.
With all the success the spread offense has, we really don't need to abandon it. Just find the players who can run it correctly.
I agree fully with this statement.....its hard to always blame coaching when it's clear the talent is not on par with the other programs we hope to be
