  1. A 9-3 regular season, with a New Year's Day bowl...'08 is where the expectations should really ratchet up.
  2. Top 25 is very attainable, based on the play of the young defensive front and obviously Matt Grothe. We HAVE TO figure out how to run the ball next season, with actual tailbacks or we are still going to struggle to win some games that should be relatively easy. Getting WV and L'ville here is great, but that Rutgers game is likely to be a war...sure they won't be under the radar, but that Ray Rice character is a load. The road game at Auburn early is huge...not so much that we will/should win, but if the Bulls can show up, put some points on the board and take the game deep into the 4th (outcome in doubt), I think it would do wonders for this program and for the '07 team's chances at a big year in general. A 9 win regular season is a realistic goal, with a 10 win/B.E. title possible if the breaks/injuries go our way.
  3. For those of you thinking that stadium was in anyway better than the Shitrus Bowl...umm, go re-evaluate your stadium priorities. Legion Field looked like it hadn't been worked on since the Roman Empire...terrible scoreboards, design is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outdated, concessions were a joke, hell, the lights (which weren't needed) weren't even all working, horrific neighborhood. That has to be the worst "bowl" stadium ever. How in the world does UAB land any recruits?? What do they do for visits to games, take them on the road to real schools??
  4. Yes, the band was awesome...it was almost like they too realized they needed to step up their performance for the bowl game. Kudos.
  5. CBS Sportsline has UF with the #1 SOS, and Michigan with #4.  Close enough that there's no difference. What sense does that even make? Don't all conferences have their own teams play each other, thus causing them to win and lose an equal amount of times in conference?? Wow, nice case. UF, despite being 4th for the past few weeks, hasn't really been in the discussion for the natl title prior to today. Its been Michigan, with their 3pt loss @ OSU and USC, with a lot, A LOT of media types spewing from both sides of their mouths about how Michigan was still the 2nd best team, in their opinion, but that they wanted see USC. So, what should UF beating Western Carolina, squeaking by FSU, and beating an overrated Arkansas team do to change people's minds? Not much. Michigan v. OSU, UF v. who cares (ND...hahaha, the joke of all jokes) Yes but they only look at W-L record of opponents.  The Big 10 opponents build up their W-L records by playing each other.  All second teir SEC quality. UF has played a much tougher schedule and the tougher opponents away.  UM also had their chance and did not produce.
  6. Huge win for this program. Shows that we can go into a top-10 teams house and take them apart. From Grothe on offense, to Julmiste and Selvy on the defense, this was the sort of performance that we should see from now and into the future.
  7. BCS rules state that no more than 2 teams from 1 conference may advance to BCS bowl games. Ohio St and Michigan are assured of those 2 spots in the Big 10, leaving Wisconsin headed to the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.
