  1. Count me as one. Another here. Have my inaugural game tickets framed in my office and a shirt with the 80-3 score on it. At times, it seems like yesterday....and at times, it seems like it was forever ago.
  2. Thanks! Don't get to see Nevada much here. What a fun offense you guys have. Good luck!
  3. Add the "The NCAA is evil/College football players should be paid" crutch.
  4. pep, the fact that you are here says a lot to me. Sorry to say that I forgot about 1010 after it went to "the Buzz". I have to tune in again in the mornings.
  5. It is always a tragedy when someone so young passes away. But somehow it is even worse (if possible) when you have some kind of connection, however faint, to that person. My prayers go out to his teammates, coaches, friends and family.
  6. Eric, Let me add my thanks to all of these others. It is great that you take the time to come on to a forum and give this kind of information.
  7. Apologies for dragging up an old topic, but has there been any news about this or any souvenir ticket offer?
  8. Some conferences are still contracted to play in specific bowls: "Unless they qualify to play in the NCG, the champions of selected conferences are contractually committed to host selected games: Atlantic Coast Conference-Orange Bowl Big Ten Conference-Rose Bowl Big 12 Conference-Fiesta Bowl Pac-10 Conference-Rose Bowl Southeastern Conference-Sugar Bowl If a bowl loses a host team to the NCG, then such bowl shall select a replacement team from among the automatic-qualifying teams and the at-large teams before any other selections are made. " We could go to the Sugar or Orange as a non-host team.
  9. I thought that the seats were going to be more uncomfortable than they were. If I sat the whole game, I might think differently. Luckily, up in row 65, we could stand as much as we wanted and we had the wall to use as a seatback. All of my complaints seemed to fade away as the clock ticked down to :00.
  10. I was hoping that he would get a TD in the game. He has been a top-notch individual for the Bulls - no wonder he's a team captain.
  11. Same section and row. Section 35, row 65. Like someone said, it is much closer to midfield than we had in Charlotte, so I'm still pretty stoked.
  12. I heard a radio ad early this week on 620.
  13. I know a lot of people don't like polls, but if it were to be based completely from W-L records, every title-hopeful would be scrambling to play the bottom teams. The UCF athletic department phones would be going crazy! They could fill up their schedule for years. Why would the number of games be irrelevant? Can one team only play 9 games and another play 12? I think this would have to be standardized somehow. This is a lot of travelling. A team that qualifies for the conference title game would have to go this route: 1 - Conference Title game 2 - Play in the Round of 8 game 3 - Round of Four game 4 - National Championship. I think you would also have a hard time convincing the fans to travel to that many games in the timeframe of a month or so. That gets expensive. So, the second-place team in a conference - Michigan, for example - would get no bowl game but Houston would? I don't think the alum would go for this.
  14. The thing that irks me is that the Bucs have claimed to have a huge waiting list (over 100k, I think they say).  Where are these "football fans"?  If these people want to see football, then they should get off their asses and come out to see a WINNING team in the same great facility. $ for $, we get so much more enjoyment out our Bulls tickets than we do from our Bucs tickets.
  15. Definitely would like to get a jump on the apparel this year. The shirt I got in Charlotte last year wasn't all that great. But I waited until game time to buy something and was stuck with what they had left.
  16. Where's Chris errr... Jim Everett when we need him?
  17. Ah, the experience of 4 posts vs. 1000+. Thanks, outrunner.
  18. After following some of those links that Mission posted, I just had to come back here and say "THANK YOU" to Brad and the Bullspen.com Team for these forums. Hell, I almost went blind over there.  (Hmm, we have no smiley for :puke ?)
  19. Greg's blog has become regular reading in my house. Well done...again. I agree Windbane.  If we can fill in those LB spots with a couple of decent players and get some consistency in our kicking game, look out. Plus, let's hope we don't have to suspend anyone for half the season next year.
  20. 1. Do you BULLieve USF "can" win 2morrow ? Yes! 2. Where will you watch the game ? Selmon's. 3. What will be the deciding goup in our victory; Offense, Defense or Special Teams ? Offense. Do we get last week's offense, or the one that played in Cinci? 4. At 7-3, are we at what you expected before the season? I thought 8-2 at this point. Before the season started, I thought we could handle Rutgers and Cinci, but a Pitt loss. 5. Do you even like Papa John's Pizza ? Aye! Make mine with toasted Cardinal! ;D
  21. Nice post, TexanMark. It was ideal weather for a game- it is a shame it is our last home game  .  I thought there was a bit too much orange in the stands for my taste (kudos to SU for the showing), but it was all good - all the cuse fans near us were class acts.
