  1. and he comes to that conclusion by naming 4 of them as solid and 2 as very good. and that didn't include lindsey lamar and bj daniels. Saying 6 out of 26 are solid/very good isnt exactly a raving review. it's actually 8 if you include lamar and daniels. you may not think of daniels as much but he is a top 25 qb as far as total yards and scoring is concerned. losing 8 solid contributors at very important positions is going to hurt. best RB. QB. FG kicker. punter. left tackle (until genius coach moved him). both corners. LBs. I've never said that every senior is a bum. I've consistently said that everyone who keeps talking about this senior-laden team is wrong. This isnt a team full of seniors who are contributors are all over the field. The playmakers on this team are the freshmen and sophomores...the guys Holtz have recruited. what playmakers? andre davis. anyone else I'm not thinking of? to be clear that would be the same Andre Davis that walked off the field on Saturday talking about how he has had enough, correct? I don't mind young guys showing frustration. it's human especially if he is a true competitor. I just want a list of all these freshman and sophomore playmakes that are making such great contributions to the team. Eric Lee - 6 tackles in his first start Saturday. D'Vario Montgomery - Looking a lot like Andre Davis did last season at this point. Tayshaun Whitehurst, Zach Bullock - Pushing seniors for starting time. James Hamilton, Elkino Watson Todd Chandler - All playing signifigant minutes at DT Quinterrious Eatmon - Freshman All American. Starter. Austin Reiter - Starter. Not great. But a sophomore starter. Thor Jozwiak - Freshman. Broke into starting lineup this week. How'd the running game look this week? Brynjar Gudmundsson - Playing because Popek was hurt last week. Again, How'd the running game look this week? Darrell Williams - Starter. Sean Price - Outplaying every other TE. There are 13 freshman and sophomores that are all starters/ major contributors to this squad. Seems like a lot considering this is such a senior-laden team. running game looked great this week as it did last week and it did last year (1st in BE 31st in country). maybe our OC should actually stick to it. half the guys listed are starting now because of our awful record or injury. great to get them experience but please don't talk of them as playmakers. montgomery has 4 catches this year. sean price has 6 catches this year. both look to have potential but I've seen plenty of potential on USF that never amounted to anything. I know...Look at this senior class!
  2. I doubt I'm the only one that thought USF had a chance at winning the Big East....Now I'm getting bashed because I thought the team would do well? You guys are somthin'...If they win, they don't win enough. If they lose, not only does everyone have a hard-on from here to Texas, you all cry effing rivers. If they did make win the BE and make it to the Orange Bowl, it would have been a pisspoor season because they didnt win the natl. title, right?
  3. I must have forgotten all of the top-25 finishes and conference chamipnships that Leavitt brought to Tampa...

  5. and he comes to that conclusion by naming 4 of them as solid and 2 as very good. and that didn't include lindsey lamar and bj daniels. And neither of you argue with my assessment of the players listed....You can say that it doesn't smell like ****, but if everyone is plugging their nose and gagging... that's subjective. it's your opinion. not going to bother arguing about what you think. just pointing out that you listed 6 players as solid or very good. granted you left off a top 25 QB and our best offensive weapon. "BJ Daniels - starter Nobody plays harder. Still consistently inconsistent. Hasn't devoloped like anyone thought he would. Lindsay Lamar - starter(now injured) Best RB on the team. Most explosive player on the team. Great contributor. " I think that is an accurate assessment. Prove me wrong. Please.

  7. Eagles fans had a similar one going yesterday ..... great company to be with. Oof.

  9. I'm not sure how you can count the starting H-Back, a position that is rarely, if ever used a contributor. Or how you can say Shields is a starter....One catch for one yard. He's being outplayed by Sean Price, another freshman. Landi? Marc? They have been invisible. Juene? Lejiste? Lanaris? They are special teams players. I can't see how, as a group, these seniors haven't been a disappointment this season.

  11. You keep saying this. It's not accurate. Senior starters or significant contributors: BJ Daniels - starter Lindsay Lamar - starter(now injured) Demetria Murray- 2 deep Danous estenor - starter Mark Popek - starter (now injured) Andreas shields - starter Damien Edwards - 2 deep (started a few games) Jeff shields - starter at HBack Victor Marc - 2 deep Evan Landi -2 deep Corey Grissom - starter Sam barrington - starter Mike lanaris - 2 deep (started 6 games) Mike jeune - 2 deep George baker - starter Kayvon Webster - starter Jon Lejiste - 2 deep Maikon Bonani - starter Justin BrockhausKann - starter Chris Breit - backup FB That's contributions, significant even during games, from more than a handful. You keep saying this. It's not accurate. Senior starters or significant contributors: BJ Daniels - starter Nobody plays harder. Still consistently inconsistent. Hasn't devoloped like anyone thought he would. Lindsay Lamar - starter(now injured) Best RB on the team. Most explosive player on the team. Great contributor. Demetria Murray- 2 deep Good for 3-4 yards per carry. Average at best. Not having the season anyone though he would. Danous estenor - starter Solid. Mark Popek - starter (now injured) Solid at tackle. Hard to play guard at 6'7" Andreas shields - starter One Catch for One Yard. HUGE CONTIBUTOR! Damien Edwards - 2 deep (started a few games) GETTING BEAT OUT BY A SOPHOMORE. GREAT JOB! Jeff shields - starter at HBack WHO THE EFF USES AN H-BACK? NOT THIS TEAM. Victor Marc - 2 deep 9 Catches. 78 Yards. Better change the gameplan to cover him! Evan Landi -2 deep 9 catches, 121 yards. 13 YPC average. DANGEROUS! Corey Grissom - starter 29 Tackles. 1.5 Sacks. Ho-Hum at best. Sam barrington - starter 58 Tackles - Best player on defense. Mike lanaris - 2 deep (started 6 games) Stinks. Outplayed by a pair of freshman, Bullock and Whitehurst. Mike jeune - 2 deep 8 Games played, 7 tackles, special teams player... George baker - starter Yep, Hes a solid starter. Kayvon Webster - starter Yep, another solid starter. And Best player in secondary. Jon Lejiste - 2 deep 7 games played, 16 tackles. He is special, how? Maikon Bonani - starter Very Good. Justin BrockhausKann - starter Very Good. Chris Breit - backup FB Another position that is rarely used in this offense. Hard to say he is a contributor. Umm....Daniels, Estanor and Popek have been good, not great. Lamar was the best player on offense hands down. Barrington and Webster are the best players on defense. The same defense that hasn't stopped anyone other than UTC. We have a good kicker and punter is good, because they do punt a lot and they aren't getting in the endzone all that much so you need someone to kick field goals.
  12. Of course you're a Coyboys fan. Lemme guess....You love the Yankmees and the Hurricanes too?
  13. our offense is going to be mediocre at best without woulard Because it is so potent without him now....I am far from a fan of Daniels but without him USF would probably be 0-8. Nobody plays harder than he doesn, he's just not that good and you think a true freshman will be this huge improvement? C'mon...
  14. Why do people keep talking about these 22 seniors?? They **** sure aren't all starters. Only a handful contribute meaningful playing time. The rest are experienced tackling dummies in practice.
  15. Here is where we have a difference in opinion. You are probably right. Duke, Vandy, Kentucky... those are mid-level BCS programs to me... meaning that, if they win a conference (or division) once every 8-10 years, go bowling consistently, and keep fan support, they are doing great. We on the other hand are in a conference that is prime for being better than that. I am not expecting national titles, but, hasn't everyone had a (part of a )conference championship since we've been in the BE except for us an the Cuse? We should pretend like we are the class of the conference. We should be pissed every time we lose a BE game. We should not settle for losing records and seasons without a bowl. I was a huge Leavitt supporter, and would have said that he didn't have enough time to win the conference, but, he had good will built up from... you know... building the program from scratch and making me Bullieve that MY TEAM was as special as any other school in America. Whoever we have though... I am not OK with "we're a mid-level team, we have to be happy with 6-6, 7-5, etc." (which by the way, I'd be thrilled with right now). If our coach isn't getting it done... with a senior laden team, working with a lot of talent (at least in my opinion). He does not deserve more time. Cut your losses and try to move on. I don't know how much it costs the program not to go to a bowl, but, I would guess that it's a pretty good bit. Not just from the Bowl revenues, which are likely next to nothing, but, from a brand recognition standpoint, butts in the seats standpoint, season ticket holders. In my opinion, $2.5 million is a bargain compared to that potential loss if we continue down this path. Thats the worst excuse ever....If the seniors were so great, they wouldn't be getting benched and/or not playing at all.
  16. I can't make it to the homecoming game this weekend. I'm going out of town for my nephews birthday, so I'm selling two tickets in sec. 120, row CC with a parking pass in lot 7. $50obo, cash only. Tickets are in SW corner in lower bowl and lot 7 is just south of the stadium. Send me a PM if you're interested. Thanks!
  17. I agree with Trip, and I think that we are such an odd fanbase because (for the most part) the fab base here up fans of another school. A lot of alumni grew up cheering for FSU or UF because USF didn't have a team. It's gotta be a pisser if you love your Noles or Gators but are USF fans/supporters. I can see how it would be hard to break that association with the other programs and completely jump in heads first for an always under achieving USF program.
  18. I don't want to give up my seats because I've had them for 7 years....I bought them when I was a student, but if I can buy season tickets for $75 or buy tickets on livingsocial for a highly discounted price....Why would I keep spending so much money if I can spend less and be disappointed the same amount??
  19. Las year USF ended up 5-7. And didnt go bowling. What the **** are you talking about?
  20. Gruden would be awful as a college coach. He was terrible at devoloping talent and having relationships with players....
