  1. I pulled the complaint. My thoughts: 1. Lawsuit is against the pac 12 and George Kliavkoff, the commissioner. 2. Oregon State and Washington State are the plaintiffs. 3. The lawsuit does not name all of the other P12 schools. 4. Filed in Whitman County which is where Washington State is. Not sure this court has jurisdiction over P12and Kliavkoff. It's not filed in federal court either which usually has jurisdiction over disputes between citizens of different states. They do plead that the P12 is a citizen of Washington and conducts business there. That may be enough under Washington law. Don't know. 5. Not sure why the suit was not filed in Oregon instead of Washington. 6. I doubt the bylaws allow jurisdiction of disputes in the county where the individual schools are located. But I have not looked. 7. I assume the main goal of the filing is to get a friendly court to stop all activities particularly the meeting of all P12 schools scheduled for Wednesday September 13. 8. WSU/OSU may get the temporary injunction to stop that meeting but the issue of jurisdiction will likely need to be addressed. 9. The lawsuit asks for a temporary and permanent injunction. Generally an injunction requires that there is no "adequate remedy at law" that could compensate for the damage caused by not granting the injunction. That means there are no money damages that could adequately compensate WSU/OSU for their damages. That may be hard to prove for a permanent injunction. 10. The complaint alleges that "The ten departing members have a significant financial incentive to dissolve the Pac-12 before their departures. If the Pac-12 Conference dissolved, its remaining assets and property would be distributed to all twelve members" 11. The argument of the departing schools is likely to be, as noted in an email one of them sent referenced in the Complaint "It seems obvious that any 9 Members can declare the fate of the Conference at any time.” 12. The crux of the issue is whether the departing schools lost their board seats upon notice of leaving or until they actually leave. Or some other date as established in the bylaws. 13. Of course this complexity also limits what WSU/OSU can do as far as trying to add new schools to the Pac or leaving and taking the money with them.
  2. ET, Prayers for a strong and full recovery.
  3. FAMU averages 29.4ppg and gives up 13.2 to go 5-0. USF averages 31.2ppg and gives up 47.5 to go 0-5. We may the defense to start showing up.
  4. Tampa Times website finally gets this on the front page.
  5. From AAU Members list. It's real.
  6. Aren't these things related? Walker is playing out of position I think.
  7. Due to the coaching change the portal is open now for USF players.
  8. Portal is open after the season and not during the season. Unless there's a coaching change in which case it immediately opens for 30 days. A kid entering the portal runs the risk of his current team not renewing his scholarship the next year.
  9. No. They're just letting people know they are available and willing to transfer. This allows other schools to contact as well I believe. They always have the ability to come back provided the new coach wants them back. Marsh was in the portal and came back lasts season.
  10. .511 winning percentage lifetime Made the playoffs only 5 out of his 14 full seasons Hates young players Falls in and out of love with QBs within a month He's Jeff Fisher (.512 winning percentage and 6 playoff appearances in 21 seasons) except with a SB on the backs of an all time great defense from 20 years ago. And that's before you get to the emails.
  11. I've been gone a while but they still haven't added the "tongue in cheek" font.
  12. My guess is that barring a complete meltdown that tomorrow will be all Marsh. Then the last 4 games Brown can play as much as needed because he'll have a redshirt season preserved. Unless we win the next 5 and get bowl eligible.
  13. Yes. Would have loved having him for 4 years not just the 2 we got.
  14. The OCS will not win games. It won't guarantee attendance. However, I think having our own home to use how we see fit is important and long overdue. Unfortunately we did not build when one of these cost $100 million and if we wait too long it would be $500 million.
  15. Richardson was 3 for 3 and 152 yards with 2 passing TDs last year. Not shabby. Jacob Copeland caught both TDS and he's at Maryland now. So maybe that helps. However they approach it the defense has to make tackles. They can't keep letting 2 yard gains turn into 8 yard gains. It's been an ongoing problem for several years so not sure if they can fix it this weekend.
  16. Need to be +3 in turnovers and at least 1 ST/D touchdowns to have a realistic shot. And have to make Richardson and the offense drive the field and not big chunk plays. Richardson killed us last year with those big plays.
  17. If the B12 is University Mall then what is the AAC? East Lake mall circa 1987? Those old Jefferson Pilot broadcasts seem quaint. Like leather helmets quaint.
  18. Jake Griffin was the real deal on that line.
  19. I know Reiter ends up in the NFL and a super bowl win but I have to go with Dile as the best at this number. He was starting on some lines against very good BE defenses.
  20. Lejiste started running in Lake City and exploded into Lonnie Preston. What a hit. And no targeting.
  21. Solid contributors on this number. Cray was undersized on the line but a fighter. Craig Marshall was another DE from the panhandle and had some big moments. He was on the line with JPP/Selvie/McClain in 2009. All 4 had some time in the NFL. Perry and Livingstone were up and down but had they played with more talent around them they could have shown out.
  22. Back in the days if you showed up at USF in between positions you were sent to the defense. If you played QB in high school, and weren’t a D1 QB, you were sent to the defense or WR. If you had real athletic ability you were sent to the defense. Just the way it was. Not sure it would work in the current all offense game.
  23. Selvie was also 2 time consensus all-american. Not bad for a 1 star center from the panhandle. Chandler was a pretty solid player.
