  1. That's typical JUCO play. Always has been. My usual rule of thumb with JUCOs is you take their numbers and reduce them by half and that's their likely production in D1 ball.
  2. Problem is, if you're a "have-not" you have almost zero chance of ever changing your station and becoming a "have" - and the "haves" don't need to be successful in order to remain "haves"
  3. The lack of speed and intensity in that game - in that empty gym - doesn't show much.
  4. Same high school that sent us DL Howard Campbell.
  5. I like the JUCO from Wallace College - Jimmie Williams - to be that guy. Third-team All-American, he was Top 25 nationally in scoring (22.5 PPG), rebounds (8.3 RPG), assists (4 APG), free throw percentage (75%) and field goal percentage (54%). Shot 37.4% on 65 made threes and he's a sturdy 6-5. That's the guy we need.
  6. If we compare the two bigs we’ve added so far, they’re a clear upgrade to the two bigs (Jones & Ogunleye) we lost - not including Pryor - so Coach is off to a nice start in rebuilding the roster.
  7. I guess, but when is it time to realize he probably just is what he is?
  8. Why does Billy continue to put Tanner Mink out there . . . ever? ERA near 10 in 15 innings. We get a 4-3 lead last night and TM promptly walks a guy, hits a guy with a pitch to open the next inning. Then Skeen does no better.
  9. I just posted a highlight reel of Dante Oliver - Asst. Coach Desmond Oliver’s son. Check it out. Looks like a shot maker to me. Maybe not as a freshman, but eventually. Wonder why/if he’s not already committed. And CJ Brown is a potential three-level scorer.
  10. Assistant Coach Desmond Oliver’s son. Why isn’t he signed already? Dante Oliver on Hudl WWW.HUDL.COM Watch Dante Oliver's videos and highlights on Hudl. More info: IMG Academy - PG National / Class of 2024 / Bradenton, FL
  11. It’s all about development at this point. As mentioned in another thread, despite these huge losses, the cupboard isn’t empty IF there is continued development from guys like Walker, Tobiloba, Knox and Reid. Reynolds is a legit big, Brown could be an impact freshman and Coach Amir knows what he has in Jennings and Stroud. If they’re all here in the fall, that’s a solid eight to build around. Bring in his nephew from Georgia, Coach Oliver’s son, and a few more solid guys and you have a competitive club.
  12. Great job by Bulls, topping #9 UF on the road tonight, 7-4
  13. So we have one good season after a decade of slop and we're suddenly supposed to be flush with cash in the NIL? Are you giving?
  14. The biggest "keep" is Coach Amir. Obviously, players will come and go - and come and go quickly - these days, but we need to keep him as long as we can.
  15. I have two seats if someone can use. Had planned to attend, but the band is gigging on Saturday.
  16. If our three starters continue to pitch like they did last weekend, we'll be right in it.
  17. Anyone heard anthing about Asst. Coach Oliver's son Dante? I believe he did a post-grad year at IMG. He had committed to ETSU out of school, but didn't attend when Dad was let go and came to join Coach Amir's staff. From what I remember, he was a decent prospect with some length and could shoot it.
  18. Maybe, but much of it was done in the dark. I think some of this roster-hopping could be avoided if the player still had to sit out a year before competing. Sure, pay the kids, but the first year you have to pay them just to practice. Might make the player and the program think a little bit harder about the decision.
