  1. (May 28, 2004) Tampa, FL –USF men’s soccer Coach George Kiefer has announced the signing of Mitchum Ford to an already impressive recruiting class. Ford a 6-1, 182 defender hails from Durban, South Africa. “I am very excited about the addition of Mitchum to our program,†said Kiefer. “He is well rounded on and off the field.†Ford currently serves as the captain for the Eastern Cape Provincial squad, which is equivalent to a regional team. He played for the Amazulu FC youth system. Prior to his move to Durban, Ford was a member of the Southern Transvaal and Gauteng Team in the city of Johannesburg while he played for the prestigious Randburg FC. Ford also starred as a 100-meter sprinter for Northwood High School in Durban for a 10.8 time. Mitchum joins Rodrigo Hidalgo, Christian Jimenez, Osmany Hernandez, Freddy Hall, Frankie Slater, Colby West, and Simon Schoendorf to the 2004 recruiting class.
  2. South Florida has two!!!!!!! http://all-americans.parade.com/boys_soccer.html Christian Jimenez Rodrigo Hidalgo This men's soccer recruiting class has to be one of the best in the country.
  3. I have been investigating. From what I have heard the Coach is an ass because he does not want any people who are not willing to compete at a high level on a daily basis. I also heard guys that are not coming back were not big time players. Let's face it, this coaching staff has been around some big names in division 1 and 2. In order for someone to say that he is an ass and that running people off is not a good sign, doesn't know the business.
  4. It looks like a good staff. The Dikranian guy seems to have some expertise. The Negahla seems to blend in with the head coach as far his recruiting abilities. Does anybody know these guys or have talked to them before?
  5. The head coach has a great resume. Who are the other guys on staff? Forget Title 9. It will be with us forever.
  6. To drop any sport that has some history is ridiculous. Actually ---no sport should be dropped --- All olympic sports do well here ---- Title 9 is a crack of bull ---- Is this one of the best recruiting classes in the men's soccer program history? Who is doing all of the recruiting over there?
  7. I know that it is just an olympic sport, but have you seen the kids that are coming in to play for the Bulls? One was on the Trib the other day............Any feedback on men's soccer would be good
