    I would not want to be Michael Kelly or Jeff Scott this week. Days after a embarrassing loss to NCST &, in all likelihood, days before a embarrassing loss to UF they have to host the programs biggest donors & try to hype the fanbase & media about a IPF. All while rumors of the AAC imploding abound. Which include rumors of our biggest rival jumping sship. Also, more bad optics with former players coming out last night & exposing USF's new policy of only letting former players on the sidelines at home games if they are currently on a NFL roster. Which means no Q, Grothe, Selvie, & so on. I guess all they can do at this point is put on a brave face, muster up a smile, & go on with the show. The timing is very USF-esque though.

    Ah, yes.. the season hasn't officially started until we get our first "Fire..." post. It's good to be back!

    since Lee Roy Selmon passed. His legacy will be felt at USF and in the Tampa Bay area for a long, long, time. Would be incredible (maybe even miraculous) to honor him with a win tonight.

    Im wondering how many season tickets were bought by Gator fans for the 1st game & won't be used the rest of the season. Not that I mind if they want to make donations to USF.

    @John Lewis was fan fest canceled this year? Do you know of any other football related preseason events in the coming weeks? @muttwill the Bulls rally be coming back?

    I dont recall seeing or hearing anything about whether this year's fan fest has been canceled. We are approaching the time when it would usually occur. Has there been any word on its status? How about the preseason party at Capogna's?

    Amazing how much last season torpedoed Sails & Hampton's draft stock. I thought both had 1st-3rd round potential.

    First thoughts... This crowd is small Ray Jay is definitely not the right venue for a spring game The mask mandate is not being strictly enforced today. Thank God because it is hot as Hades today and there is nobody within at least 50 feet of my family right now Cade looks good so far

    If its anything like last season they will definitely be enforcing masks. With the heat & masks there is no way my family will last very long. I don't think wearing a mask in near 90 degree heat with 60% humidity is entirely safe tbh. Especially for children and elderly.

    Especially having to wear a mask the whole game with 60% humidity. We have two daughter's, ages 4 & 7, so we probably won't make it the whole game.

    John, I appreciate the response and your time as always. Can you tell me if there will be any pregame activities like there normally is when it's on campus or is it bare bones this year? (which im totally fine with. Dialed back is better than nothing at all imo.)

    Don't think so. My ticket rep is supposed to reach out to me when he finds out. Last talked to him Thursday and he said they were still waiting on a decision. Maybe @John Lewis can shed some light?

    Hypothetically speaking, if we we're going to go the alum route I'd much rather give Reggie Kohn a shot. He's only 40 and already has 4 state championships and around 400 wins as a h.s. head coach. Obviously a big splash hire would be more preferable but I thought Kohn's name was worth mentioning.
