    Defense is better. The offense feels Sterlin Gilbert-ish.

    I was at the WVU @ USF game in 2007. One thing I can remember is the stadium shaking during the Moffitt pick-6. That Kansas game was a very special game. Both teams played great. There was only one turnover and that was Nate Allen's interception that led to the FG Kick.

    Any word on hiring a WR coach? Wonder if that played into Weaver leaving.

    It's going to come down to winning games and playing time. There will be schools who have an abundance of money for NIL but if a kid is committed to playing and winning they will transfer to or stay at their "committed" school.

    Interesting coaching staff at USF. Youthful and not diverse. But we shall see how this plays out.

    Yes and it would put someone on staff who had a successful tenure as a head coach. USF is not in the position to have someone learn on the job. Too much money at stake all around; coach buy-out, stadium, media payouts. NIL, etc.

    Playing Fast on offense is pointless when you can stop the opponent. We just saw this a few years ago in OC Gilbert and a bit under OC Weiss.

    I know. My gut tells me USF Football is about to look bad again. It's like Pimp My Ride and they just return the same care just polished up a bit. Nothing fancy.

    It's a curious situation now. If the "sources" are true and USF is no longer in the running for Chadwell nor Sanders then why have they not announced a new HC hire yet? The rest of the targeted HC (Simmons, Leavitt, etc.) don't have games so they should have been announced days ago. Would Kelly hire another coordinator as the HC again? That would be head scratching. Too wait this long and announce on the opening of the portal and not hire a big name HC is just curious could be bad, could be good, could be creative

    This Defense is really bad. I am amazed that a defense can be this bad in the transfer portal era.

    The worse part of this game is in order to watch USFs offense I am forced to witness the horrendous defense. It's definitely self-inflicted torture.

    This standard is awful. USF football needs a total gut job. I believe many players will enter the portal instead of participating in this rebuilding process.

    They need to play faster, be more aggressive shooting and more aggressive on defense.

    Do you think Meyers would be hands off or hands on?

    USF was not giving Taggart sufficient funds to hire and keep solide defensive coaching staff. The purse cracked open with Strong then opened up more with Scott. With as much !oney as Oregon was throwing at Taggart I would have left too. That's the business as USF did not take care of it at that time. Now USf is paying the cost.

    Curious about you alls thoughts about Tom Herman as Head Coach. He won at Houston but did not win enough at Texas. Was the OC at Ohio State during Urban Meyers tenure. With him I would want to see a solid DC hire.
