  1. Does anyone know of the success rates of any former Bulls who decided to jump ship for "greener pastures" this past season? I would love to know if any of our former Bulls have any "green" envy, or even accomplished their goals with their new teams?
  2. Just read a tweet from Darek Sharp where he suggested we might be in, and unfortunately traveling to C to play them on their home court. I would have thought that we would have hosted them, but this is a topsy turvy season.
  3. I use Betonline, and Prior to the start of the season I put a little money on USF winning the conference at +3300. Max they let me bet was $76 on this particular wager..... GO BULLS!!!! WIN WIN WIN
  4. Just In!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because of overwhelming response, the USF Alumni Association is selling tickets again for the official tailgate. RoofClaim Boca Raton Bowl Pregame Tailgate :: USF Eventful T.CO Dec. 21, 2023 — Join fellow USF fans for a pre-game tailgate as the Bulls take on the Syracuse Orange in the RoofClaim Boca Raton Bowl. Come enjoy special guest... Sign up now!!!!!!!
  5. Searched the Bowl website and also confirmed it online through other sites
  6. Actual parking opens on campus for the bowl game at 3pm, and parking will be needed to be paid for onsite by the car as you enter the parking lots.
  7. I had to wait until today to see if my friend would be able to make it to the Pregame Tailgate for the Boca Bowl. UNFORTUNATELY the event has reached capacity and there are no walk up tickets. That being said, are there any people on the board who are planning to tailgate, or would like to set up a group area to meet up and perhaps hang out before the game starts? I plan on showing up around 4:30 and if there are enough people would love to do some tailgating until 45-30 min before kickoff and then walk over to the stadium. Not sure how the parking will be but hopefully we plan on parking just to the south of the stadium like we did with other USF alumni and setting up there. Message me if anyone wants to make a plan for a meetup
  8. You're doing great! Keep up the hard work and also the positive attitude. You'll see that soon enough, when you've reached certain milestones, you will break through those walls and get full functions back! Know that everyone who knows your plight is both proud of your progress, and appreciates the journey you're going through.
  9. I'll be going with one of my friends, and we are trying to decide if we should tailgate, or maybe join that parking lot early to tailgate with fellow Bulls fans. I also attended the ECU game and was in that same parking lot with quite a few other Bulls. I hope it will be the same few lots this year too. Anyone want to announce a time that they will start tailgating? It will help everyone here to know what time to figure on meeting up at the lots.
  10. When I first found Hott Leggz, I decided to walk to the restaurant to eat... Crab legs. I was not disappointed. I've now had probably 10 different meals on their menu, and have not been disappointed yet. Probably best pub food since when I used to go to the Greenery pub right across the road from Fontana Hall at USF. Had many delicious meals there too.
  11. Hahahah, absolutely great local restaurant serving pub food, and delicious seafood. Scarlett Johansen even ate there and wrote a glowing review. My only gripe is the default music is loud Country music.
  12. Delicious Crab Legs, Crab Cakes, Mahi Mahi, gator tail, and frog legs. The rest of the menu is very tasty. The full bar is fun, they have SO many TV's to play all the sports, and UFC fights. Also their $$ wallpaper is very interesting. All the regulars kept that place rockin' through the tough times this pandemic so everyone appreciates them.
  13. Thursday of last week, I had the privilege of meeting 2 of the USF Athletic Department's best Assistant A.D's. who were tasked with fundraising for gifts to the USF Bulls. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, and Stephen had reached out to me by email a few weeks prior and told me that he and Abby were touring and meeting up with some alumni, and this time they were going to be near me. I invited them to meet me at Hott Leggz pub where we had a nice conversation, some libations, and a quick bite. I told them how I was a member of this site (which they both come here from time to time), and we talked some sports of course. During the conversations, i decided to tell them that I chose to donate yearly and to the annual fund so it can be used in a variety of situations when needed. They explained that I could change my donation amount when I needed or desired to in either direction. I would like to extend to everyone the information that they gave me: If USF wants to continue to grow, and also get into a much better conference (hopefully a P5), then we need to put up the kind of fundraising money that the members of those other conferences do. It doesn't have to be the thousands of dollars that the SUPER successful alumni and donors give. It could simply be $10 a month (No amount too large or too small), or whatever you can afford. I hope I did my part. In any case, perhaps I will see some of you at the Bowl game in 2 weeks. If any of you have made it through this post, Here is where I tell you that I will volunteer to provide a free roof over your head for a few days related to the game. (From Wednesday the 20th through to Friday the 22nd. I have 3 extra bedrooms. Just gotta be respectful, and. I live just a few miles away from Boca Raton, and the Stadium. Took me 10-20 min to get to the stadium from my house last time I went to a USF game there. Message me on here and we can exchange information.
  14. Keep fighting the good fight @E.T. keep jumping over those hurdles!
  15. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!
  16. E.T. We are all hoping for a full and speedy recovery from whatever has a hold of you. Stay focused on your goals of returning to your life in whatever normal capacity you want.
  17. I leave the decision of the tickets to Brad. Whomever Brad feels deserves, needs or wants it more.
  18. Rest in Peace fellow Bull. I hope his spirit finds rest in whatever he believes in the afterlife. May his family always remember him in a fond way. I know we all as Bulls fans will, based on the snapshot of his life that he shared with us while he was at USF.
  19. Corbett Stadium grounds crew never fails to impress how they get the fields ready and groomed so well for events held there. kudos to you!
  20. For those who can't fathom why people enter the transfer portal, I think it's time we all acknowledge and accept (unless you are willing to be an activist and do something about it) the fact that this world has evolved (or devolved depending on the way you look at things) and not stagnant in how we deal with the moment at hand. The way we live is very different from the way our fathers lived. The only thing we can be assured of is things are always changing. Very few athletes, young adults, and children have ascribed to the idea of remaining at 1 university or college throughout their entire collegiate athletic career. I've found the mentality of "what have you done for me lately" so much more prevalent than "What can I do to make this team better". It's unfortunate for the fans, but I suppose for most people who grow up in a time where they are taught that money and "me first" are so much easier to achieve than the hard work, and loyalty that breeds good friends and good moral values in life. Easy way out should never be taught, unless it comes with the smarter way to do things. *random rant/observation over*
  21. I assume the remaining funds after the funeral will go to help support the family?
  22. What horrible news to hear today. I never met him personally but I felt even more connected when he went off to Ukraine to help defend my friends and co-workers who still live over there. May he find peace on his next and final journey!
