  1. Why, Who hates SMU, who cares about SMU? They are forgettable and provide me no pleasure in spending purgatory with these clowns.
  2. I was as well, I loved the U before and shortly after we had a team. I still like CFB a lot, however interest is starting to wain a bit. Fortunately I have the means to make most games interesting but have been more interested in the NFL as of late.
  3. I am not sure how he couldn’t be but have seen no connection. Regardless of the relation it is simply sad, pretty numb to this **** nowadays but this one hurts for some reason.
  4. The G5 playoff is stupid and won’t happen. The constant free agency coupled with the inequities will have a serious impact on the interest. There was a time I found CFB more interesting than the NFL, no longer. I found the NBA a must watch, now I don’t watch it at all. I guess all good things come to an end and my projection is the future is not bright for CFB, I may be wrong but yet I rarely am
  5. You earned my respect last year, I believe you. I would say KK is a one and done so glad to have Williams however everyone nowadays is one and done so it really doesn’t matter. Karter would have given us a heck of a lot more press though.
  6. They should be well behind us, that 8th year QB should be out of eligibility in the next couple of years.
  7. Prettiest fat chick but I will take it, beats being ugly and obese. I hope this team does not get too high on themselves. They still had UAB and FAU hang over a hundred on them last year. Stay hungry, however try not to over eat, that is how we ended up where we were.
  8. Agreed, that and they are another Texas team, the big 12 needs that like a hole in the head. They saturated that market and have no use for SMU. The big 12 and the ACC without FSU, Clemson/NC are still in the same boat as the big 12 without Ok/TX. a hodgepodge of **** that doesn’t smell as bad as the AAC but is still a much lower tier then the big 2. This thread may get to 4k or even 5k however it is getting tired, almost on life support.
  9. I am hopeful like everyone else however we could just as easily end up in this conference for my duration. None of us know for sure including you so stay positive, nobody likes a negative Nelly.
  10. However we need some help on the D line, maybe we can convince him to get in the trenches since he is open to switching positions.
  11. My take, your take and everybody’s take, I used to follow recruiting in football religiously, now I realize it Doesn’t matter I will watch the team in September and learn their names. That is if they are worth watching. I am not disgruntled, let them get theirs, get it now though before it all collapses, always something else to grab our attention
  12. Sounds like a plan however hope your liver and blood sugar levels don’t fail you prior to the collapse.
  13. It is probably a difficult call for Trips, he has had so many wieners throughout the years that it will take a while for him to reflect.
  14. Why would they give their concession profits to the players when they can simply dupe the fans into paying them so they can keep all the money. I think everyone is on the same page, no problem with the kids getting paid but why are the ones making all the money off of them not paying them. This model is so ****** up that it has no choice but to collapse into a heaping pile of ****.
  15. Yes however if you can get more than you take more, that is the American way.
  16. At times I feel my astute commentary is more than sufficient
  17. The big bag, when you graduate you start off low and work your way up for the most part. This is the last opportunity to cash in on your athletic prowess.
  18. You are expecting a twenty something to think like a 50-60 something. Like I have stated many times and you have agreed per your statement above, many see this as their last opportunity to get their bag before the door closes. At that age, get paid for all of your years of hard work, being remembered for a few years by a school in a far away state by some die hard fans is not a substitute for tall stacks, or medium stacks, cheddar talks and bs walks.
  19. I have absolutely no problem with him chasing the money and going home, my only ask is we don’t start threads to follow his progress next year. He was here for a cup of coffee and i give zero violation on what he does now. Great guy, will find success but can’t see me cheering for him, especially at Bama. Is this too much of an ask?
  20. He is a crook so he does have that going for him, don’t count him out yet.
  21. He was hence me saying most, how many will earn degrees when bouncing every year to a new school. The point is they will make more in college then after causing a weird dichotomy that will not turn out well for them IMO. The normal chain of events is you earn your way up the ladder not start near the top and go back down to the first couple of rungs. Never too early
  22. Disagree, my highest earning years were the past 15 years and the window is closing, glad I sacrificed when I did to take advantage of this. Most of these kids highest earning potential is now, go get yours while you can, they won’t have much to fall back on or have the aptitude to excel in anything once their playing days are over. However I think Youngblood has a future in whatever he wants to do, he is impressive, the rest of these guys not so much. But at his age it is hard to say no to the money.
  23. The whole thing sucks but not surprised or disappointed, I am still on board however there are no life boats left and the ship just split in half. Kind of comical that they off loaded paying the players to the fans, the result will be less fans. Eventually everyone has their limit, even die hards like myself reach it. I understand the argument that the powers to be only care about the bottom dollar and they will be fine however I see this going down like boxing, it simply disappeared. I will not throw a hissy fit, or yearn for the past, best to simply leave and move onto something else to enjoy until someone decides to ***** that up.
  24. I hope he comes back, with him anything for the most part is possible however without home we are back at square one.
