  1. I’d be giddy for a db that can cover a wr without a pi. None currently on roster.
  2. Took my 11(girl) and 7(boy) to their first basketball game. It was such a fun time and they had a blast. The average age was roughly 80-85 but there’s no reason local high schools and club teams aren’t taking trips to see top tier collegiate basketball. Start them young. Thank you @Gat-Rat Bull for the tix.
  3. I somewhat agree. To be honest, I’m not sure what could have been done at any part of this season that would’ve felt adequate. I had the exact same sentiment on senior night when he played his last game to a stadium peppered with a few fans. We came up short. Hopefully, when the stadium opens in a few years, they can honor all of the HoF again.
  4. What I was saying is that they’ve fought for him “for the most part.” Yesterday, I saw the D mail it in for sure. As bad as their record has been for the last three years, it amazed me how long they lasted. Now that it’s official, I hope he lands on his feet and finds success somewhere. Go Bulls!
  5. This wasn’t directed at people on this board necessarily. Definitely not the case on the bird app. It is mostly a general sentiment after reading many personal attacks against him.
  6. If/When Jeff Scott gets fired, I hope USF fans can somehow dig deep and show some dignity and class. I, too, have reached the point where I believe the only left to do is make it official, and let him go. There are no “benefits of the doubt” left. However, this all didn’t go the way he planned or hoped either. I was at the luncheon. I believed what he was selling, but more importantly he believed it too. And at that point, the players believed in him. And many of those players chose to come here because of Jeff Scott. As frustrated as I’m sure they all are, they care for him, and for the most part kept fighting. He came in with a clear vision, and a plan, and worked that plan the best he could. The Clemson plan simply didn’t work here. I don’t think he is a bad person and I think he has a lovely family. He is coming to grips with failing his first head coaching stint. I realize this may come off as self-righteous, but let’s not forget to extend the human act of grace and dignity, when the element of failure and regret have hit a good person that cared and gave his all. Maybe its because I sat through a good sermon today. Maybe it’s just that I don’t believe CJS deserves to be verbally dragged through the streets and stoned with insults. Remove if it’s too “preachy” and not enough “sporty”.
  7. Well… that too Dr. Evil. Just feel like the effort in tackling went from bad to worse, even when they were in position. Maybe , it was the DC that lost the defense.
  8. With all due respect….Matt Hill gets injured every play unless he is getting burned. Based on the praises about him during the off-season alone, Coach should be let go.
  9. With 1:10 left in the half, do we try to move the ball at all or go in content being down 9? I think I know the answer.
  10. Do we know if he’s had surgery yet? Has he made a statement since his injury? His best, most impactful quality is his leadership, I believe. I’m hoping he comes out and makes that powerful statement that assures the fan base he’s committed to getting well and leading this team next year.
  11. My take: The obvious advantage I think BYU will have is their O-Line vs our D-Line. Although improved, we still lack the big bodies to wear their line down. So I expect running game wearing us down as the game goes on, thus opening up big pass plays down the field. LBs will get a workout, and if they’re smart, they’ll run towards Grier. He’s our best linebacker by far but his strength is pursuit, speed and lateral movement. Run at him and it’s easier to block with a lineman. I think our O is improved but we’ve always had good skill players. The difference might be the intentional effort to play to our strengths. I hope it is. Also, I think the rule of averages should be in our favor. We’ve sucked long enough, maybe the gods will smile down on us. Go Bulls!
  12. I know this is going to be anticlimactic, but I posted the original message, not intending to be anonymous. Then, I wondered how people would receive my “screen saver crashing perfectly into the corner” moment when it went from 1.3 to 1.4 after looking at it 10 times a day for at least 1.5 year. The season needs to start already!
  13. Were there any injuries reported at all? I keep seeing stories of starters going down with knee injuries all over college scene, which is common this time of year. I was wondering if we remained unscathed or did anyone get dinged up? Does anyone know?
  14. I don’t love how the game ended to say the least. They ran the right play. It wasn’t there, throw it away. Live to play by another down. But if you go back and look at the lack of urgency, not panic, urgency, it might be the most frustrating thing. We should have had more time to begin with. Also if you look at that last play, Mitchell was motioning for him to spike it. Never leave a game up to he refs.
  15. Breathe coach, breathe. His desire to make big plays shouldn’t be more important than methodical drives with ruining the ball and 5-8 yards dump passes. Do what works! We aren’t going to win in one play.
  16. Tale of two halves? It’s been a while since I’ve seen any team look as bad as we do.
  17. I’ve conceded we aren’t going to win this game. But there is 0 sense of urgency. At least make an effort. We’re down three scores.
  18. I just want to speak it into existence that Cincy is going to fumble on this drive.
  19. I’m not saying we should rush, but a sense of urgency would be nice.
  20. Yes, our tackling is horrific. I think it has more to do with weakness than technique.
